Both LPU (Lovely Professional University) Jalandhar and VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) Vellore are leading private universities in India and doing great in the education sector. Coming to the engineering programmes, being alumni of LPU I would be able to share the details of an engineering programme at LPU as follows:
LPU offers engineering programmes in Diploma, B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. A few programmes are CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. I recommended my cousin to do B.Tech from LPU itself. To be honest, VIT Vellore no doubt is the better option, if you are under eligibility criteria of VIT Vellore then go for it, otherwise LPU is good in compare of VIT Bhopal and Chennai campus through placement, education and all kind of view. You have to give entrance exam of VITEE then according to your performance + AIR rank you will get VIT Vellore Campus.

VIT is definitely good. LPU has well tailored course content to meet the global industrial needs, good faculty and state of the art facilities that have left many NITs far behind. The curriculum taught here is of international standard. One gets to learn from foreign and industry experts.
