Which is the best branch in B.Tech mechanical or computer science?

As in today's era, Technology is advancing day by day. So, there is a need of engineers who are good in technology and software. So, in my opinion, computer Science is the best branch.

6 years agoHello Sameer, This is Pavan, A mechanical engineer by domain. No branch in engineering is best or worse. So, the subject matters here Is 'Interest'. So, if you are really interested in Machine design, Manufacturing, Production, quality, etc. Aspects make sure you are to be placed in Mechanical. And If you are interested in android, web development, Coding and programming development languages, you can opt for CS. Hello Sameer, You can't compare both the branch because both have there own field of work which are truly awesome. But, if you are comparing both the branches in respect of jobs, then I must say that you which have abundant of opportunities by having CSE degree in compare to Mechanical. The starting amount of salary is much better then you get in Mechanical. None of the branch is easy and have there own challenges. So, I must say that choose it by checking your interest because Interest really matters while doing engineering. We can't compare any of the streams with another one because every steam has its own value in the market. What I would like to suggest you is this firstly you analyze in which field you are interested in. If you have interests in programming and coding then go for computer Science or if you are fascinated by machinery and their applications then opt for Mechanical. 5 years agoIt all depends upon your interest level. If you are interested in working with languages such as C, Java, etc. And you have no problem in constant learning upon every changes which comes into the market then you should go for CS. Otherwise, not much changes occur in Mechanical Branch. So, it's up to you what you opt for. Chances of placement is more in CS branch. Package will differ from college to college. -
