Which is the best college for CS: LPU or Galgotia University?

Yes definitely, LPU is the right option. Earlier, I was not much aware of the university but when my neighbourer took admission in LPU, every other day she talked about the laurels which university had and the continuous efforts which university puts. I can highlight some of the key features of CSE being floated by LPU. Computer Science Engineering Programmes of LPU have been designed primarily to suit the needs of the students who aspire to be the future engineers, managers or entrepreneurs with a strong grounding in accounting and finance. The stress is laid on developing analytical, communication and decision making skills of students. The students are encouraged to undertake assignments/project work from the industry and work towards finding possible solutions to integrate their theoretical knowledge with industrial practices. It is worth mentioning that LPU offers department electives in computer networks, artificial intelligence, databases and information systems as well as computer programming and algorithms. In addition to this, students are exposed too the fields like cloud computing, IoT, data Science, Machine Learning, Big Data and many more. In terms of placements, more than 550 companies visit every year for campus-recruitment of students from LPU. The companies which have visited as of now are: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL Technologies, Asahi India, Ceasefire etc. LPU believes in delivering the quality, for same, it has hired faculty from the reputed institutes like IITs, NITs. Hi Abhimanyu, Before choosing any University for higher education, you need to do the comparison on various factor like Ranking, placements, exposures, academics etc. By comparing these features you can take the decision. You can visit to websites of both or can visit to campus. One of my known has completed B.Tech CSE from LPU. Reviews are pretty good. I would like to recommend you to go for the LPU because LPU provides quality education as well as the placements to the students. Few points told by my cousin who did her studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: Faculty: Most of faculty members are from IIT, IIIT, NIT, IIM or from elite Schools (India/Abroad. They have decade of experience. Faculty is really helping. Even they helped her after regular university hours for her projects. The learning methodology in LPU is clear, precise and amazing. The studies here help you build strong fundamentals which helps practical application of theoretical concepts easier. International experiences: University offers international exchange study programs, study tour and internships opportunities Standard of students: They do not compromise on the quality of the students. They have a rigorous admission process. Admission can be taken if you have good percentage and you have good percentile in entrance + marks in interview. Courses offered: They have ample of courses. She studied many extra courses as major and minor elective other than the curriculum such as music, photography, hacking, fashion designing, Air traffic control, cryptography. University provides with opportunities and it's up to the students to grab it. My cousin got placed in the very first drive of placements that too on package of 26 LPA. All I can say is LPU brings in lot more companies (apx. 450+) and the average package revolves around 5 to 6 Lacs per annum. Its up to you how you prepare yourself for the placements and stand out from the herd. LPU provide different classes for placements which helps in grooming. Students are trained in Aptitude, Reasoning, free preparation for government Exams, Soft Skills and language training, Interview skills right from the 1st year, continuously for 2/3/4 ( duration of course) years till they get job. Recently I heard that Tanya Arora from this University got placed in Microsoft with 42 LPA. I hope you will take your decision wisely!

LPU is one of the best universities in India. It is a UGC-approved university which has been ranked well by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its faculty, its placements, its teaching practices, etc. The university provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. The university leaves no stone unturned to shape the future of its students. It is definitely the first choice of both national and international students. LPU has become the landing place of many leading industries for recruitment. It has many top rankings in placements. The students of LPU has been placed in the top companies with high salary packages. In the year 2019, a student from CSE stream has bagged a package of 42 lac at Microsoft.

Lovely professional university is one of the leading universities, it provides best academic exposure to it's students. Also, having various foreign tie-ups. Even heard about their last year placement record which was of 42 lac by a CSE student.

In my opinion it is Lovely professional university, as it focuses on live projects so that the students get to learn in the best way possible, which is a good thing. At the same time, it provides internships and training opportunities with Google, CISCO, etc. So that the students get good exposure.

Lovely professional University gradually become a giant in an education sector. Producing excellent has become a habit of Lovely professional University. LPU has made phenomenal progress in every sphere of the programme in last 15 years. Four major striking factors are: 1) Technical-Trainings. 2) Center for professional enhancement. 3) Unity in Diversity. 4) Entrepreneurship: Being a huge walled community comprising more than 30000 students and 5000 staff members, LPU automatically becomes a hotbed of entrepreneurship opportunities. This coupled with innovation, design thinking and business incubation labs makes it a hub of entrepreneurship. And SEED capital facility offered by management upto 10 lacs for deserving ideas is an icing on the cake. At any given point there are more than 300 ventures within and outside the campus run by students. All this boils down to placements, more than 300 companies recruit from CSE, Microsoft leading he way with INR 42 LPA and over 60 of the companies offer upwards of 10 LPA!

Galgotias University offers great placements, especially for Computer Science. Some of the major companies like Accenture, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and many others come for recruitment. The course curriculum is good, as it offers flexible credit system. LPU is also good and better than Galgotia University in terms of crowd. But, if you need a more studious environment, then go for Galgotia University.
