Well in my opinion, I will recommend Lovely Professional University. LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. Hello! I have done my Engineering from Lovely Professional University and I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I can share details about LPU but I cannot comment anything about CU. Starting with my experience from the first year onwards, where we asked to join some Placement Enhancement Classes, that day I wondering why there is a need of same at this early stage and then the day I was sitting in my placement drive, I recall all those essential points which were taught to me that day and those eventually helped me in securing my seat in an interview. One more point I would like to share that it is not just calling the company to the campus, but preparing the students up to such level that they can crack any interview is equally important. So, I have observed, LPU faculties, put in a lot of efforts to get the students placed. So, preparing the students to such level is more important and putting up efforts for that is more important and that what LPU always takes care of. University has separate placement enhancement department, which focuses on overall development of students. University keeps on conducting, guest lectures, seminars, live projects, hands on training, sharing views and experiences by the experts and many more events which helps the students to broaden their thoughts and cope with the corporate world. In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple packages as well. I was one of them, I remember my day I am hopping around the campus and was looking around which option to choose, Finally I landed up choosing HCL, with which I am currently working as well since last 4 years and have received many promotions and hikes. All I dedicate that to my faculties and mentors at LPU. They helped me in choosing the right decision at that time as well. Students are trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. Talking about my another life experience where we were asked to be a part of some live project in my second year and I was wondering, whether I am capable enough to be a part of such grand project from an MNC, but when eventually I started working, I realized I can do that and I had that much knowledge to be cope up with such projects. Dear Abhimanyu, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department has been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. I am saying this because my younger brother has already completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University and currently he is working with amazon. His experience at LPU was amazing. He has discussed placements, exposure, academics etc. Honestly speaking, the quality of education provided at any of the universities in India has been standardized by the autonomous body called University Grants Commission (UGC). It is just a matter of public opinion that sometimes condemns a university while over-hyping another. Of course, few other factors, such as the university intake of good candidates and the output of taught, trained, and efficient candidates who get successful placements during the course of the past couple of years, matter, of course, but lets get to that a while later. In regards to the stream concentric study of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Lovely Professional University, it is undoubtedly a very good idea. The faculty at the CSE department of LPU is just as qualified as any of the popular universities and institutes of India that offer this discipline names I don't even need to say! It has produced perfectly efficient computer engineers in the past couple of years who have eventually landed salary packages as high as 42 LPA! Over the past couple of years, the department has seen a rise in the number of students taking admission in the stream. Due to this, the competition between students within the department has increased, and this has indirectly improved the overall performances of the batch as a whole. Without mentioning unrealistic figures, I am going to say that the students graduating from the CSE branch at LPU get placed more often than any other department from the same university. Not everyone gets placements in a core company, but they will get placed in companies functioning in various other fields. Hence, if you decide to study at the CSE department at Lovely Professional University, you will not be regretting it any way. Whats better the university doesn't just offer engineering courses; it is a full-fledged university with a vibrant campus with thousands of students from different streams.
