Dear Kanta Not PGDMBA, but PGDM which stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management. There is no more difference between MBA and PGDM. Both are of 2 years / 4 Semesters duration. And subjects covered and Specializations are also similar. The only difference is type of certification. MBA is Masters level course in Business Management / Administration conducted by various universities. The certificate is also issued by concerned universities. But in the case of PGDM, AICTE act as Regulatory and certificate issuing Board. PGDM is not a university certification but by AICTE. The course usually attached with B Schools. The eligibility is same

The course usually attached with B Schools. The eligibility is same as MBA. One of the advantage of PGDM is its updated syllabus. Not like MBA, New syllabus has been updated in PGDM according to change in industry. Whereas many universities are still following old syllabus for MBA programs. AIMA(All India Management Association) is also offering PGDM in different specialties. The certificates will be awarded by AIMA. Both MBA and PGDM graduates are getting equal opportunities in corporate , teaching and research programs. Getting MBA from reputed B Schools are more beneficial than distance MBA. Salary after MBA will be depends on rating of B Schools, from where you have completed MBA. How ever if you are working, you can do it as distance mode / Part Time Regular Mode. Please check university reputation and value of certificate among employers before joining. Distance MBA of Sikkim Manipal University, ICFAI, SYMBIOSIS etc. are widely accepted by various corporate firms like WIPRO, TATA CONSULTANCY, ICICI,HDFC,AXIX BANKS, BSNL, AIRTEL, IDEA,VODAFONE etc.
