Which is the best university for mechanical engineering: Chitkara University, Rajpura or Chandigarh University?

Hi Nomanjee, All are private universities, and all of them are trying their best to get their students placed. But the placement require large number of other things apart from calling the companies and setting up the interviews. The University needs to have the latest and industry consulted curriculum. The technologies like advance excel, GitHub and other MOOCs are required to have the edge above other students The entrepreneurship projects, innovation labs, design thinking labs and business incubators etc. Are must to expose the students to real time situations and problem solving skills. Professional enhancement is must for students, they need to be exposed to professional etiquette, mannerisms, communication and interpersonal skills, ethics and virtues, right sensibilities to work in multicultural environment. Community development projects must be part of the programme so that students become empathetic and learn the organizing skills When the interviewer sees the skills in the students then only he/she hires them. So there may be some companies going to each of these campuses but offering the highest salaries to one of them and hiring for run of the mill positions and lower salaries from the others. Having an long experience of years in Education sector. I can vouch for the fact that LPU which you have not included in the question has the best track record in all the above parameters and that's why it is able to place maximum number of students at maximum offered salaries in some of the top companies. About 600 companies are regular to LPU for campus recruitment! As many as 60 offer more than 10 LPA to multiple students in CSE. So the record speaks for itself, LPU is miles ahead of any of these in any parameter whatsoever. All the best.

Dear Nomanjee, I have no details of the mechanical engineering programme at Chitkara University, Rajpura or Chandigarh University but being an alumnus of LPU. There is a huge scope of mechanical engineering in all kinds of manufacturing industries, aerospace engineering, automotive industries, government organizations, Public Welfare Departments and defense sector as they seek mechanical engineers and offer a good salary with growth opportunities to B.Tech graduates. Though all the universities mentioned above have excellent academics but being an alumni of LPU let me explain the things. The school has well qualified and experienced faculty members with specialisation in various fields like, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Industrial Engineering, Machine Tool Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Student has an Automobile club under Society of Automobiles India, Under which the teams has participated in various competitions by making there vehicle in Supra SAE (Student Formula CAR), Baja SAE India, BAJA SAE USA, Efficycle. Organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. Students gets hands on practice in labs and workshops like Advance machine shop, nontraditional and computer aided manufacturing laboratory, Automobile engineering Lab, IC Engine Lab, Mechanical Measurement and Metrology, Strength of Material Lab, Theory Of Machines/Dynamic Of Machines Lab, Thermal/Heat Transfer Lab, finite element methods laboratory, engineering graphics laboratory, object oriented programming laboratory, computer aided design and analysis laboratory, basic simulation laboratory, Propulsion Lab, Aerodynamics Lab, Welding Shop, Pattern Making Shop, Foundry shop, advanced design laboratory and engineering drawing lab.
