If you compare the colleges, all of them are better for CSE in terms of placements and faculty but in terms of external activities, opportunities and Infrastructure, LPU is better than Thapar University and SRM University. For more details, you can visit the website www.lpu.in.

In terms of placements, LPU has good placement records for engineering, especially for CSE branch. It has tie ups with several organizations such as Google SAP Oracle etc., which enhances the scope of learning through the workshops organized or so.

I would suggest you SRM is better university in terms of infrastructure, placements and campus exposure. The staff is excellent and very supportive
The placements for all branches are equally above average.
Fees is just a factor its quite high.

    Hello there,

If you're trying to choose between LPU, SRM, and Thapar for B.Tech in CSE, I'd say you really need to think about what you're looking for from a college experience—especially when it comes to faculty support and placement opportunities. From what I've personally seen and heard from students, LPU stands out in a very unique way. The faculty at LPU is super approachable and diverse—many are from IITs, IIITs, and foreign universities, and they constantly keep themselves updated with the latest technologies. They don't just focus on bookish stuff—they push you toward hands-on learning, coding competitions, hackathons, an

Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Thank you.

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry.
