Transfusion Medicine is the study of medicine that includes the aspects of transfusion of blood and blood components [1]. The course allows you to do a course as an undergraduate course or a Postgraduate course, depending on how the aspirants want to pursue it [2]. After completing this course, the aspirants are hired as Clinical Associate, Blood Bank Technologist, and Medical Officer [2]. Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Transfusion Medicine is a minimum aggregate of 50 marks from a recognised board or university [2]. For Undergraduates: The minimum eligibility criteria for UG is 10+2 pass in Science field with Physics Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects and minimum 50 per cent marks as an aggregate [2]. For Postgraduates: The aspirants who wish to pursue this course should have ANM B. S. degree with minimum 50 per cent marks from a recognised board or university [2]. Some institutions conduct entrance examinations also for admission. The aspirants who wish to pursue Transfusion Medicine course, have to appear for the entrance exam to procure admission in this course. NIMSEE National Institute of Medical Sciences Entrance Exam which is conducted by the university. After qualifying the examination, the aspirant can take admission in the college. This examination is conducted once in a year. Certain institutions conduct entrance examinations for admission because the basic eligibility criteria for securing admission in this course for MD should have passed M. B. S. degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
