Hi, TISSNET is basically an exam conducted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences, which includes general knowledge questions comprising of about 60% marks of the paper. The questions are rated from moderate to high level. Other topics too have same difficulty level. Whereas, in ATMA, since General Knowledge is not there, the paper is taken to be on the easier side and the rest of the sections, that is, Quantitative, Logical Reasoning, DI and verbal are rated to be as easy and moderate level questions. It is just that you need to manage time and ATMA gets cleared. Apart from this, if you are good with General Knowledge, you must go for T

TISSNET exam is a national level exam conducted for all Masters Programs. If you have complete knowledge with respect to the subject and correct information, then cracking the exam is not that tough. Same goes for TISS, MUMBAI. You require study material which is an amalgamation of every associated concepts. For ATMA the Reasoning section is very important. Candidates can practice similar tests, to be precise and accurate. Since for this section, there is no precise formula, the candidates can solve as many mock tests as possible. Simple preparation for this section can be done by solving puzzles and riddles. There is nothing such thing called tougher to crack or easy to crack. This view depends upon the preparation of the exam you are giving. There are number of exams conducted in India for the MBA type courses. Exams like TISSNET, ATMA, CAT, XAT, GMAT, MAT, IBSAT, NMAT, SNAP, etc. have some minor tweaking and variations apart from the main sections. Each of these exams has quantitative aptitude, Verbal reasoning, Logical reasoning and data interpretation, apart from GK or essay writing section in some of the exams. So, you have to prepare accordingly for these exams either by taking coaching classes or correspondence course or by self-pre

    Hi,
TISSNET exam is a national level exam conducted for all Masters programmes. I think that TISS is not that tough exam if we compare it with other exam such as CAT, XAT, NMAT and all. Yes, GK consists more marks in the paper, so if you are good in GK then you can score good marks. For Mumbai if you able to get 60+ in general category then you can get easy call from all courses of Mumbai campus except HRM and LR, for HRM you have to score more than 75.
Competition for getting into different courses varies based on the number of applicants take TISSNET for that course. More or less all the courses are highly competitive.
