You really have got a nice rank but it is not enough for you to get admission into any prestigious NITs. Though you have a chance of getting branches like chemical and metallurgy in the last round of counselling. It is better to opt for some state level college with some better branch like CSE or maybe mechanical. Rest depends on your interest.

    Hi,
24K rank is very good, so you can get a good branch like CSE, ECE, etc., in all NITs. But you also need to check previous year's cut-off.

If your rank is 24k then you can choose NIT-Silchar, NIT-Meghalaya, NIT-Nagaland, NIT-Mizoram, etc. or you can check your home state quota.
