B.Tech in civil engineering from VJTI is cool because this department only got the good infrastructure among all other departments in this college. Faculty members of civil department are very good and highly educated and they published many books. Mechanical engineering from COEP is also good....more

COEP and VJTI are both good colleges and among the top most in Maharashtra. But among the two COEP is the winner. COEP has been ranked one in Maharashtra after the IITs and NITs. According to MHRD rankings COEP is ranked 24th while VJTI is not even in the top hundred in the list.

7 years agoIt is a less known fact that the course offered by VJTI is B.Tech in civil and environmental engineering, which is a value addition. Both being the core branches, are most opted for. They have a very high cutoff. Also, CoEP was established as a school for mechanical engineering. There is better placement in mechanical coep than VJTI civil. Labs and other facilities are well equipped in both colleges. All thanks to government initiatives such as TEQUIP. So it the matter of interest while choosing between them both. Provided you have the required grades.
