BIT has a better alumni network, better placement records ( average salaries, diversity of companies ), better recognition in US ( applicable if interested in higher studies in the US), better programming community.
VIT has a more modern infrastructure and has done well in its 20+ years of existence. It is certainly one of the best colleges in the South, but I'd still give BIT the edge.
