Which one is better: 2D/3D Animation or Animation film making and why?

Hi, When it comes to video animation, you might be surprised at the number of processes animators can go through in order to create the video you see on the screen. While each process requires animators to use a distinct technique or collection of techniques to create the end result, most will fall into one of two categories: 2D animation and 3D animation. This isn’t a bad thing either. If turnaround time is an issue, 2D animation is usually the right choice too. Far easier to produce, edit, and adjust than the more sophisticated options, it’s possible to create a professional, impactful video in next to no time. 3D animation is a younger and more complex version of its seasoned sibling that provides a distinctive twist on traditional concepts. It bridges the gap between the possible and the impossible, occupying the space where 2D animation and live action fall short. Unlike 2D animation, which works best for simple ideas that require a clear-cut message, 3D animation is suited to more imaginative concepts and enables brands to challenge norms with their marketing efforts. Believe it or not, 2D vs. 3D animation isn’t an either-or kind of situation, as a combination of both can bring any vision to life. Whether you want to emphasize a portion of your production or like the innovation that comes with a mix of styles, using the best of both worlds can help you create a product no one will forget.

I would say, it all depends on where you want to work when it's all said and done. If you want to go into 3D animation and you are on a limited schedule, I would go the 2D class and 3D class route as long as the program was going to teach you the art of animation and not generic tutorials to learn the software. But, to be completely honest, an one month course in drawing, 2D or 3D isn't going to get you very far especially if you are taking this class for the first time for this field. What will you have to offer to company, animation-wise compared to someone who has studied it at a two or four year program or what kind of demo reel do you thing you can create in that amount of time.

As an animator, you may make use of techniques like- 2D hand drawing, 2D Computer generated, 3D Computer generated, stop motion or model animation techniques to create animation sequences. The method depends on the specialization that you have (through training and courses). These days, computers and various software are used to create works of animation (2D & 3D). This field is also known as CGI. The Animation filmmaking covers techniques of pre-production, anatomy design, animatic, visualization, character design & development, animation scene planning and 2D animation. You may pursue any course, as almost both of them teaches the same thing, except animation filmmaking is faster and gives you a better learning experience.
