Which one is better for architecture among LPU and Chandigarh University?

Architecture is a great professional field. It requires huge resources in terms of equipment, software and other infra as well as intellectual capital in terms of highly qualified faculty. One point which normally most of the colleges miss is the programme delivery, most still deliver this programme in classroom mode. But LPU has recognised the need of programme delivery with advanced experiential learning teaching pedagogy. Hi LPU nurtures its students with great care in order to boost them to a pinnacle of success. This FEAT is not only for any particular field. The zeal shown by the college along with the hard work of the student have many success tales to tell and Architecture Department is one of it. The exhibition in the campus had much to say. Architecture has been approves by competent authorities and is being taught by experienced faculty. The infra structure is congenial for the study of architecture. Many workshops and seminars are conducted by industry experts as LPU believes in experiential learning. Students are exposed to real site situations through in house and external visits for visual orientation. Emphasis is given on the Entrepreneurship projects/Consultancy projects which give cutting edge to the students of the University. The very fact that many students have been recruited for coveted government and non government organizations have much to say. I would prefer LPU. Since last few years, I have came across many students comparing LPU and CU. Though both are renowned universities and are doing well. But there are few major points to be noted in respect of both while looking for a best suitable option. Both institutes are doing good but when it comes to exposure, expert training and placements, no one can beat LPU. As per my knowledge, Curriculum is as per guidelines of Council of Architecture (CoA) My cousin brother is pursuing B. Architecture from Lovely Professional University. He is in the 4th year and already has got a good command in his domain. After having a good conversation with him and his friends I got to know that the course has a bright future. Few points told by my brother who did his studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: In the programme, innovative teaching practices are adopted. One such practice is called Experiential learning week which is organized every semester in which students are taken to nearby historic and construction sites and are given live case studies to do. In design studios, the professors encourage students to take challenging and practical design problems. Students documented the buildings and learning from Live Case Examples during experiential learning week. Architecture Students paying the regular site visits and gaining their knowledge on the latest construction techniques and implement into their design projects. Study tours are an integral part of curriculum with visitation of architectural and prominent sites provides maximum exposure to learn technicalities of architecture. Hands on experience by working on live projects to develop a sense of problem solving, critical thinking in order to gain real life understanding. Hello there, Chandigarh University will be a good choice as you will get practical exposure and as all are aware architecture is a field where, an architect is required to help clients through the construction bid process, contractor selection and cost negotiations. At CU you will be helped to learn all this and many other things.

Lpu offers more than 200 programmes recognised by UGC. Lpu is better in all the aspects like teaching, curriculum, infrastructure, experience, placements etc. The architecture programme of lpu is approved by the agency of COA. Lpu provides the best academic exposure to it's studenys. The world class infra structure is congenial for the study of architecture. Many workshops and seminars are conducted by industry experts as LPU believes in experiential learning. Students are exposed to real site situations through in house and external visits for visual orientation. Emphasis is given on the Entrepreneurship projects/Consultancy projects which give cutting edge to the students of the University.
