  • While both SAT and ACT solve a similar purpose of understanding an undergraduate's readiness for college admissions, both are designed differently and tested differently. Understand the key difference to know which one is easier - SAT or ACT from the section below:

    • SAT is a digital exam, whereas ACT is tested on paper plus availability of digital format is meagre.
    • SAT is 2 hours 14 minutes, ACT is 2 hours 55 minutes long.
    • There are just two sections on SAT - Reading + Writing & Maths, ACT on the other hand has four sections - English, Reading, Science and Maths.

    Hi, there are differences between the two and you must see which one suits you best. The main difference is SAT does not have a science section while ACT does. Other topics more or less remain same like English, Maths, Reading and optional essay. Duration of ACT is also less than SAT.
