Which one should I prefer for an MBA program: SIBM or Symbiosis Centre for Management and Resource Development and why?

An aspirant should ideally give first priority to SIBM over SCMHRD due to the following reasons:- 1. Brand name: Though both are popular in India, SIBM is much older and is the flagship B-School via the SNAP exam. SCMHRD, as the name itself states, is more famous for HR whereas SIBM is well-known for marketing. 2. Infrastructure: Located on a picturesque hill and away from the bustling Pune city, SIBM offers excellent view of the nearby surroundings. The hostel rooms are well-furnished with all basic amenities, and the college also comprises of a swimming pool, gym, etc thus ensuring students make the most of their stay there. The infrastructure at SCMHRD is good, but not top-notch as compared to SIBM. 3. Placements: The median package at SIBM is Rs 12.5 lakhs whereas the figure is Rs 12.75 lakhs so not a huge difference between the two. 4. Rankings: SIBM ranks among the top 15 B-schools in India while SMCHRD among the top 25. Bottom line: Opt for SIBM and keep SCMHRD as a backup option. I hope it helps!

Hi, Both SIBM - Pune and SCMHRD are good institutes. It is up to you to decide your preference based on factors such as your area of specialization, placements, infrastructure, etc. You can visit the respective official websites of the institute for placement reports, course structure and other details.

This is to kindly inform you that you should prefer SIBM than SCM because the faculty members are better & the resource used in this B-School is far better as compared to others. The books and case samples used in this school are based on international standards. Eminent faculty members visit the campus that provides vast and good knowledge about the external scenario. The B-School also provides eminent visiting personalities from top management institutes who share their knowledge on a regular basis. The placements are at par in comparison to other B-Schools. There are a number of organisations that participated in the placement drive for providing numerous offers to the students. Therefore, the environment is conducive, the teachers and the other associated staff are very helpful in nature. It has good lodging and meals facilities for the students. It is located in the heart of the city and hence transportation is available in abundance. I wish you all the very best. Do good.
