Which option is better for B.Tech ECE: SRM University or LPU, Punjab?

Hello, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, IBSs, etc. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Bosch, Samsung, Voltas, Lava, Vodafone, PEGA, hp, LG Soft India, Capgemini, Hind Rectifiers, Verizon, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL Technologies, Asahi India, Ceasefire Industries, Sandhar Technologies, Indus tower, KEC International, Dharam Consulting, Cleanmax Solar, CSS Corp, Exide, Zamil ACs, Synopsys, Nylocore Transmissions Almost 90% students of ECE got placed in Reputed Companies like INFINEON (12 Lacs PER ANNUM), Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions (5 Lacs Per Annum), Bosch Home Appliances Group (5 Lacs per Annum), HPE (5 LPA), Trident Group (15 LPA), Think and Learn (9 LPA) etc. Have come for recruitment purposes. Most of the ECE students are placed in good companies with high package. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Lovely Professional University is the best choice as per me. Well, it all depends on you that how good can you make it, Because LPU provides everything that an engineering student require to achieve quality education and placements. The curriculum is revised occasionally to keep students up-to-date and industry ready. They give you ample amount of training before you go into campus placements. Don't miss out on that as in the end, all we need is a decent place with good exposure.

Hi, Yes, it is one of the best options to go for B.Tech, especially CSE branch. LPU provides quality education at reasonable cost and very good placements as well. It is full of exposures and opportunities and not only focuses on academic sectors but improves the overall learning curve of its student.

Hi Gaurav, Once I was travelling by train from New Delhi to Jalandhar and on my adjacent seats, two students were sitting who were studying in engineering in LPU. Being an educator, I was curious to know about the University, so the same I did. The points they highlighted I will mention below 1) The faculty and the infrastructure and other facilities are excellent. 2) The placements are 100% and the preparation for the same starts from the very first year. 3) There is more than twelve Center of Excellence established by reputable companies like Automation Anyware, Texas Instruments, CISCO, SAP, Cadence, etc. 4) There is an innovation studio in LPU where students can work on their ideas. Moreover, in 2019, when the Indian Science Congress held in LPU, LPU Students also design Solar-powered Driverless Bus to ferry PM Modi to Indian Science Congress 2019 in this studio. 5) Last but not the least, the students told me that LPU has his own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. The only problem they face is the attendance system. The attendance must be 75% So, I think LPU is the best option to pursue ECE. Thanks.

B.Tech ECEis a highly in demand programme these days! Check that your shortlisted colleges have the following: Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since it is a highly dynamic field, you cant afford a programme which is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forms the backbone of how the programme is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now highly tech driven, the tech programme must have the exposure and training of the same. The world leading technologies like SAP, GitHub, Advance excel etc. Are must for any professional to succeed in career. Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any tech programme. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc. Are given high importance in the organisations. The programme must include the training or modules on all these. Diversity: As he world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator. Placements : The programme is only means to the end ! And desired end of such course is a placement. You must check if the college/university has sold track record of placements or not. Speaking from my 16 years of experience in education, I can safely say that LPU is miles ahead of any other private player in curating the tech programs. SAP and Oracle training which would otherwise cost you Lacs is provided free of cost due to university tie-ups. Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, are an integral part of the curriculum. In addition to core curricula, course offers subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. Hi Gaurav, SEE I do not have any problem with SRM University but its original campus is much better than NCR campus does instead SRM University NCR campus you should opt for LPU Punjab. There are certain parameters such as placements, infrastructure, faculty level, environment, growth etc. To be considered while selection of institute for pursuing education. It a big question in the mind of a student as well as parents that what will the offers and placement scenario of educational institute when the student will be about to complete the course. LPU is an international university with more than 700+ tie ups with industries and companies to support academic and placement of his students. My cousin sister done her B.Tech in CSE from here and she got placed in Cognizant with top package. Other friends of her also placed in other companies such as Capgemini, Tech. Mahindra, BOSCH, Amazon, SAP, Texas Instruments, Cadence, Sandisk, Moserbear. Their junior Tanya Arora who is recently in news, got placed in Microsoft with 42 LPA. So, we have no doubt that LPU is best and a bench marks for placement and internships of students not only in CSE but also in other courses.
