Talking about Lovely Professional University, student of CSE here in LPU. LPU has a collaboration with Google to provide specialisation Android courses to the B.Tech/IT/CSE/Engineering students. LPU provides free training on SAP Business Suite to the students leading them to the SAP Consultant Certification. LPU has a tie-up with VMware IT ACADEMY for giving students and faculty exposure to products like vSAN, sphere, NSX, Workspace, Airwatch and cloud, including certifications. LPU was ranked SECOND by Hacker Earth leaving behind most IITs among more than 5000 universities, from all around the world. Choosing programme in B.Tech totally depends on your interest. For instance, if you are very good at Physics and Numerical problems, then you must have gone for Robotics else you can opt for CSE. Both the programmes are offered at LPU. Let me share the eligibility criteria for the programmes. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) You are required to pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, and have to qualify for the LPU NEST exam. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package available for Engineering programme is 42 lacs. Per annum by 2020 passout batch. Infrastructure: All the facilities are available on the campus itself, a student does not need to go outside for anything. Dear Student. If you are very good in mathematics and Physics then robotic is the best option ever for you, else you can take admission in the B.Tech CSE programme, Many universities offer these programmes but as per my research, LPU is the best university for any of these streams. You just have a minimum of 60% marks in your 10+2 class with mandatory subjects Maths and Physics to get admission at LPU. Moreover, you have to qualify for the LPU NEST exam conducted by LPU. On the basis of placement and infrastructure, LPU is best for a B.Tech degree. My younger brother also studied CSE from LPU and got a good placement from LPUin Amazon with the package of 15 Lacs per annum. 1. LPU has 600+ acres of campus in Punjab and more than 25000+ students study there among many countries. 2. A-one infrastructure- All the facilities are available on the campus. You no need to go outside in case of any need such as food, hospital, indoor/Outdoor sports stadium, etc. 3. Highly qualified faculty. Hi Sameeksha, Reference to your query, Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of mechanical and electrical engineering. Robotics has very bright future, but the very limited area where you could work or explore your career. Like, Space Research. Robotics Engineer can work in space research organizations like ISRO, NASA, etc. , which makes use of robotic technology and Artificial Intelligence. However, Computer Science engineering is well renown branch and is a combination of software programming, hardware administration, software administration, networking and network security with vast knowledge of the subject. There are huge job opportunities after doing this programme. From career points of view both are good. Ultimately, it depends upon the area of interest of the student and where they want to cater their future. All the Best!
