    Hi
When you preparing for UPSC you need to read every thing in a syllabus but a big part of UPSC is related to history and modern history so it's useful if you chose arts and learn every thing then you need to only revice the syllabus and you save time in completing syllabus
choosing Arts or the humanities in your 11 and 12th and graduation can be really helpful for your UPSC examination, this is because in Arts you will be learning subjects like history, polity etc. Which are a part of the UPSC syllabus so it will help you in your UPSC examination.
  • Hello dear, No matter which subject you choose, you can attempt for UPSC after your graduation. IAS exam or CSE is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam is conducted at an all India level. UPSC recruits the candidates for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Forest Service (IFS) and Central Civil Services through this exam. All the ministries and the departments in the union and state governments are headed by the IAS officers that make this exam the prestigious one in the nation. The topper of the IAS exam has the opportunity to become the Cabinet Secretary to the Government

Hello, All degree holders from any stream are qualified to sit for the IAS exam, but you can choose the subject matter that interests you and is the easiest for you to learn. You can pursue a degree in the humanities, sciences, engineering, medicine, business, economics, or literature, for example. However, if you have little interest in the arts and a clear understanding of your goals and objectives for the IAS, I advise you to choose the arts because there are many courses on the IAS syllabus that are also covered in the arts curriculum.

Hello, All degree holders in any stream are eligible for writing an IAS exam and its all up to you that in which field you have interest and you can study easily. You can do graduation in arts, Science, engineering, medical, economics, commerce, literature etc. ,. But I suggest if you have little interest in arts and you have a clear aim and vision for IAS then you should prefer arts because many subjects are common in arts and IAS syllabus and it would be helpful for you. - Best of luck!
