Tushar, You have not specified the course for which you have cleared the entrance test. These days private universities are at par with govt.universities. I am talking about LPU only because I have seen the things in LPU with my own eyes as per my experience in LPU as an alumni, LPU is an outstanding place to pursue your studies. I have experienced in LPU as a student and I learned plenty of things during my graduation. LPU provides the beautiful infrastructure and all required resources to students and staff. I will highly recommended that if you really want to make your career with good level of education then you should go for LPU. When I was seeking college for admission for my graduation, I was quite confused. But after a long comparison with all relevant facts and figures I joined LPU and now I am an alumni of LPU and Decision for LPU was best decision of my life. LPU gave me extra edge in everything. LPU is Great in teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities. LPU has around 2300 faculty members in the university. It has experienced, specialised and well qualified faculty members. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognition and accreditation and mark itself among the few of the top private universities. Moreover the placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records. More than 550 companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU and this year for batch graduating in 2020, already more than 500 placement/internship drives have been conducted till January 2020 with leading industry giants (more than 90% being MNCs) such as Amazon, Tech Mahindra, ITC, Trident Group, Cognizant Technology Solutions etc. And generating more than 3000 offers just in the first half of the academic session. Dear Tushar, Both Punjab University and LPU are very good in the education sector. But being alumni of LPU, I can provide the details of LPU only. LPU is spread over 600 acres of campus having 30000+ students and 3500+ faculty and staff. Many students come across the world which makes me feel like I'm in a foreign country. Though both the universities are good in terms of academics but let me take LPU as an example to explain. LPU is good in terms of Placements, Infrastructure, and faculty members. Both are good universities, PU has great name in field of education and LPU is the best private university. Career choice is the most crucial decision for any student in their life. Before choosing any institute pleas make sure to have a deep research for the institute. Since my sister and me have studied in LPU I can give you some true inside picture of the institute. Faculty: The faculty is top notch. Highly experiences and most of them from IITs, NIITs with ample amount of knowledge and experience. Campus: Magnificient campus with all facilities that one can think for. Admission: Rigorous admission process for eligibility into any programme which automatically creates quality students to be a part. Courses offered: Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab is a multi-faculty institution offering 145+ programmes in various fields such as engineering. Pharmacy, law, architecture, fine arts, management, etc. Placements: One of the best in the industry I would say. They leave no effort untried to help student to get the best placements. But worth mentioning. If you are aggressive and prepare well with the well-equipped environment by LPU your placement shall be a mouth agape. Fees: LPU provides several scholarships which are integral part of their fee structure. Therefore making it quite pocket friendly in comparison to other colleges. Of course ! LPU. Being an alumni I would like to answer this. I want to say that LPU is doing phenomenal work for the upliftment of the students and that could be justified through following: Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technology Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc. Faculty members are highly qualified, most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D. and others are pursuing, they have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge. They are cooperative and whenever you need their help, they are ready to help you out. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc. ). All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement. Hello! The organisations which you have mentioned are also offering many courses under its roof but I would suggest you to check the following before finalising the institute: 1. Rankings 2. Faculty 3. Pedagogy used 4. International exposure 5. Tech-savvy last but not the least Placements Both institutes are doing great in education but I don't have much details for Manipal University but I can highlight some of the facts of LPU on the basis of feedback received by Alumni's of LPU: #LPU being in education since last 18 years has fetched many rankings to its credit as compared to any other institute. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. #Several big brands of the industry have visited LPU campus during academic sessions. # Students are also provided with on job trainings, industrial exposures inculcating in them modern management skills. #LPU believes in delivering the quality, for same, it has hired faculty from the reputed institutes like IITs, NITs. The syllabus is vetted from the company officials of Cognizant, SAP, Microsoft etc. To provide updated curriculum. #LPU has his own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. #If you consider placements, LPU outperforms in that as well by assisting the student to get the highest package by making the student prepare for the placements. I tell you a girl named Tanya got placed in Microsoft at 42 LPA and many more students got hefty packages which I doubt students have cracked at the other mentioned institute. Comparison is neither possible and nor required because LPU is a self financed and Private university and PU is Public University, so the preferences, visions and missions are totally different. But still if you want to take my vision, I am unaware of PU but I have heard alot about LPU from one of my neighbourer who took admission in LPU. She highlighted the following: #Recognitions by UGC, COA, PCI, AIU, NCTE, ICAR, ACBSP and many more #Rankings as the latest NIRF (2020) has ranked LPU as top 80 amongst all private and government institutes. MHRD, government and has already fetched many. #Quality education at affordable pricing #Various scholarships for various programs. # Ample opportunities to each and every eligible students to secure good placement. #Students are also provided with on job trainings, industrial exposures inculcating in them modern management skills. #Updated curriculum mapped with industry as university floats departmental electives, core courses and pathways which help the student to follow his future plan. #Experienced staff hired from reputed institutions. #Safety and security of students as nearly 4000+ cameras are installed in University. #Not only academic content is taught but students are promoted to take live projects, Community Development projects #Students can join various clubs and can learn the expertise and becomes more confident. #Special input classes for placements #More than 550 companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU.
