As per the unofficial source, San Jose State University ranked #15 for providing the best undergraduate Engineering program, where New York University stands at # 66 position. In addition, the acceptance criteria at San Jose are easier (with an 80% acceptance rate) than at New York University (with a 9% acceptance rate). Students with above-average academic performance can easily get into San Jose whereas the admission criteria are tougher in the case of NYU.
