There is no point to compare because every organisation is just doing good at their places but yes I have heard alot about LPU because of its good number of years of establishment and the rankings it possess. Last year my friend wanted to admit his son in good engineering institute. After lot of inquiry, we decided to opt for LPU. As we all know that B.Tech Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves production, designing, and operations of machines and the main objective of LPU is to prepare students for applying the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. LPU provides the different areas under study such as Applied Mechanics, Machine Design, Materials Engineering, manufacturing Engineering and many more. The Mechanical Department of LPU has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The Department has to its credit more than 100 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference. The companies which have visited in LPU are Asahi Glass India Ltd, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Anglo, Eastern Ship management, Zycus, Think and Learn, Cactus Communications, XL Dynamics, Lava International, Unisys, JET Airways, ELGI (Off Campus), Daikin Air-conditioning, Honda and many more. LPU has 12 centers of excellence being set up by Industry leaders, innovation, design thinking and incubation labs, Cutting edge trainings line SAP and other MOOCs, Centre for professional enhancement, Diversity among students and faculty, industry focused curriculum, Industry interface, guest lectures, large number of internal and external competitions, events, co- curricular activities etc. Enable the students to get the placements of their choice. Dear Harsha, I am sharing here my true experience. LPU is a brand in itself. It has been ranked as one of the best universities by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its placements, its pedagogy, its faculty, to mention a few. The university leaves no stone unturned to shape the future of its students. It is definitely the first choice of both national and international students. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Google, Tech Mahendra, CVENT, ANGLO EASTERN SHIP MANAGEMENT LTD. , Cognizant, Amazon, etc. Come for recruitment purpose. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students have been offered package as high as 20 lacs pa.
