There are several career opportunities in interior designing from which one can choose, such as furniture designers, exhibition designer, lighting designers, kitchen designer, architect, architectural technologist, product designer textile designer, stylist, production designer. Though all the universities have a great academic structure but being an alumni let me just share the details. We have faculty from IIT, NID, CEPT, NIFT etc. The highlights of the course are Extensive Furniture Design (carpentry and metal workshop) in which student gets the opportunity to make full scale furniture pieces with understanding of various joints, working and handling materials and evaluating the strength. Students are exposed to real site situations through in-house and external visits for visual orientation. Uniform focus on presentation and working drawings.
