Hi, definitely VIT is very good for B.Tech CSE. It is a very famous University and it has very good faculty, infrastructure, good labs and the latest technology and good placement. -
It mainly depends on the branch in which you want to go in, as the CS of VIT is best. But, ECE of SRM is better than any other institute of the country. -
If you are seeking admission in an engineering college then I would like to suggest VIT as the first preference. It is one of the most reputed private colleges after BITS-Pilani. It is the best option in every context whether it is the environment, placement, fest, exposure or anything else. SRM is also a good college but if we compare it with VIT then VIT is better. Now, it's up to you, but first of all, you have to clear its entrance exam.
