LPU is far better than CU for hotel management courses like M.Sc. Good placements, various opportunities, huge infrastructure is what makes LPU stand tall than Chandigarh University.

Hi Odisha, Both the universities are the private institutions and are equally good. Although there no comparisons between both of them. LPU is many years elder to Chandigarh University in terms of experience and superiority in the Hospitality education. Thus, LPU is one of the premier Institute of INDIA. And If the Degree is pursued in a institute of good repute, you will learn that it is not just about Hotel operations or the hard skill jobs of Food & Beverage Service or Culinary (Cooking) but, the core of the studies in Hospitality. Hospitality is a skill which is key in all sectors with no barriers ! Private banks have relationship managers for customers who are expected to be hospitable, MNCs need Key account managers with the skill sets, Facilities need administrative incharge who can be face of the unit and ensure cohesive departmental relations. So, you would gain the Skills of Customer relations, Relationship management or Hospitality. Leaving apart the core departments of hotel such as F&B service and culinary which are hard skilled with more action on the floor ; Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, Revenue department within the hotels domain are more soft skill based roles to pursue. What matters in the end is the, what will make it worth ! And that depends on how clear you are about your goals. This year LPU has relaxed their eligibility also. Now LPU NEST is not mandatory anymore. Though one can take LPU NEST on the urge of getting higher scholarship. They have opened their online Admissions and eligible/ or those who think they will get the required 50% aggregate marks in graduation should proceed further prior to 30th April to get maximum scholarship benefits.
