    The average salary is estimated to be anywhere between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 15 LPA for MBBS doctors, while IAS officers are expected to get an estimated 14 LPA.
    However, what doctors and IAS officers earn may be entirely different for a host of other reasons.
    High earnings are commanded by doctors, more so those with specialised skills or those in private practice, often exceeding the levels commanded by IAS officers. The earnings chart is headed by surgeons, specialist doctors, and doctors in high-demand fields.
