Who earns more, the doctor or the IAS?

<p><strong>The average salary is estimated to be anywhere between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 15 LPA for MBBS doctors, while IAS officers are expected to get an estimated 14 LPA.</strong><br>However, what doctors and IAS officers earn may be entirely different for a host of other reasons.<br>High earnings are commanded by doctors, more so those with specialised skills or those in private practice, often exceeding the levels commanded by IAS officers. The earnings chart is headed by surgeons, specialist doctors, and doctors in high-demand fields.<br>While the salaries of IAS officers are ever-increasing, their starting salary is quite less as compared to doctors working in a private sector. But the scales get tilted in favor of an IAS officer because of the addition of too many allowances and perks that provide security and stability to the job.</p>
