Why did the SAT exam full form change?

The SAT full form changed from Scholastic Aptitude Test to Scholastic Assessment Test. This happened because the latter suggested that SAT assessed applicant's skills and abilities based on their high school education. Thus, College Board decided to term SAT as the Scholastic Assessment Test.
