Will class 12th syllabus be harder than 11th in CBSE board?

Hi Rajdeep, There is no specific answer to this, but you won't find it too difficult as most of the subjects are enhancements of what you studied in class 11th.Comparatively, class 11th is tougher than class 10th, as the entire outlook is changed. The level of difficulty also depends from student to student.

Hi, As mentioned by other two experts, I on individual level find 11th to be tougher, specifically the change which happens in the syllabus after 10th standard in the CBSE pattern. If you are a science student, the change is more evident, and the level of the subjects suddenly goes up. By the time you finish 11th standard, you are almost acclimatised with most of the subjects, and the 12th standard is merely an extension of the concepts taught class 11th.

It's mostly similar. There are certain topics in Math and Physics which some students find difficult. In Math it is Integration and Differentiation and in Physics it's Electricity and Magnetism. Chemistry is roughly or similar difficulty.

No, I shall be answering you for the subject of chemistry. Actually, Class 12th Chemistry is far easier than the one you have in 11th. If you SEE Physical Chemistry in class 12th is pretty easy compared to class 11th as here questions are directly based on the formula. If you target boards, then I would recommend you to please have a piece of good knowledge of how to use the mole concept, as it is the base for calculations in Physical chemistry. Now for organic, it is only a perception that is drilled down into your brains by the people around you that it is difficult; Trust me, there is nothing easier and beautiful than organic in class 12. Each reaction, mechanism etc. Repeats after chapter after chapter. Only in inorganic, P block is a chapter which may test your limits of memory, but you can do it. Please, Take this note. DO NOT SKIP CHEMICAL BONDING AND MOLECULAR STRUCTURE CHAPTER IN CLASS 11, IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR HAVING A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF ORGANIC AND INORGANIC CHEMISTRY. IF YOU ARE IN CLASS 12 AND ARE FACING DIFFICULTY IN INORGANIC & ORGANIC, make it a point to go back and study that chapter from word to topic, as it helps you to get a crystal clear understanding of class 12 organic and inorganic. Nevertheless, Constant revision and solving a lot of problems will really boost your confidence and prepare you well for your boards. Make it a point to solve minimum of 10 years' of papers before giving your boards. My wishes with you man.

No, both are same level. If you are in class 11th with conceptually, then you do have to face problem in class 12th. You will find class 12th syllabus easier as compare to class 11th. And, entrances exams also contains about 60% weightage from class 11th. Thank you.
