Will COVID-19 affect the placements of B.Tech Batch 2020? How Chandigarh University is looking forward to cop up the situation?

Hi there, Most of the private universities have actually missed the last chances to place the students over last 3 months of lockdowns. Its not that they didnt try, its just that the capabilities were not there. Compare it to the placements at LPU ! Within the lockdown there have been more than 150 companies hiring through online mode ! Even now, the placements are going on every day and students are participating in drives. Just for an example, De Shaw has hired few students in April at 18 LPA ! So, I would just say that its mater of capabilities, LPU had it ! And thus was able to do it. DVD.

Hi Nomanjee, You are asking for their capabilities and honestly telling you that CU is not enough capable to provide placements to all the eligible candidates. Within the lockdown there have been more than 150 companies hiring through online mode ! Even now, the placements are going on every day and students are participating in drives. Just for an example, De Shaw has hired few students in April at 18 LPA ! So, I would just say that its mater of capabilities, LPU had it ! And thus was able to do it. All the best.

I am not much aware about other universities, but I can share the details about Lovely Professional University. LPU is definitely making the efforts for the placement of their students. Within the lockdown there have been more than 150 companies hiring through online mode ! Even now, the placements are going on every day and students are participating in drives. Hi When placements is discussed the name of LPU comes first. LPU carefully nurtures its students and propels them to the pinnacle of success so that their hard work culminates to a point which would be the cause of envy of many. But in this journey of success LPU is fully aware of the present constraints of the health scenario and has taken good initiatives to protect the students. The protection of students and educational facilities is particularly important in this grim situation. LPU would make sure the workplaces are clean and hygienic, surfaces (e. g. desks and tables) and objects (e. g. telephones, keyboards) would be wiped with disinfectant regularly LPU encourages participants to cover their face. Hence the availability of masks, tissues, sanitizers would be the priority of LPU keeping in mind the social distancing measures Simple precautions and planning can make a big difference. With such precautions LPU is trying to gain feats by getting the students well placed. For example in June 2020 18 students of LPU were placed in Amazon with three students each bagging 31LPA. It is for such reasons that LPU has received National Employability 2020 award for best placements.

Hi As my cousin is in LPU I can tell you about LPU where the placements are already taking place and three students have bagged 31LPA from Amazon in June 2020. So universities would try their best to place the students even in this pandemic. LPU is cautiously watching the pandemic situation. LPU ensures that face masks or paper tissues are available for those who develop a runny nose or cough at work, along with closed bins for hygienically disposing masks an tissues. So LPU encourages regular hand-washing LPU encourages participants to cover their face with the bend of their elbow or a tissue if they cough or sneeze and supply tissues and closed bins for disposal. LPU would display dispensers of alcohol-based hand rub prominently around the venue. For admission If there is space, LPU would arrange seats so that participants are at least 1 meter apart. Open windows and doors whenever possible to make sure the venue is well ventilated. If anyone who starts to feel unwell, the campus hospital will be contacted immediately. Hence the availability of masks, tissues, sanitizers would be the priority of LPU keeping in mind the social distancing measures Simple precautions and planning can make a big difference. Placements is the priority of LPU and so at no point will the placements will go down. Good Luck!

Hello, Being an Alumni of LPU, I can say LPU is taking utmost efforts for their students even during COVID-19 pandemic. I am not so aware about Chandigarh University, so I can not comment on it. The process of conducting online placements for the 2021 batch of Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, is underway despite the Covid pandemic. LPU has conducted online placements for companies, including multinationals brands. Though most students graduating in 2020 were placed in the last semester by February this year, the placement team is working to ensure opportunities for the 2021 batch. Within the lockdown there have been more than 150 companies hiring through online mode ! Even now, the placements are going on every day and students are participating in drives. Just for an example, De Shaw has hired few students in April at 18 LPA ! LPU is taking all the necessary steps so that neither placements nor study is affected. In order to contain the spread of COVID-19, the government had ordered educational institutions around the country to remain shut until March 31. In lieu of that, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has now started virtual classes for students which can be attended by them both from their hostels or homes. LPU is also making sure to do proper, needed temperature and allied check-ups for every individual entering the campus. All the staff rooms, schools, and cabins have also been sanitized.
