Will doing MBA through distance be beneficial after completing diploma in personal management of 1 year? What are the opportunities?

MBA through distance won’t help you to get good job opportunities unless you do it from Welingkar, NMIMS, Symbiosis, Amity or IGNOU. Opportunities are in abundance in management roles.

Hi Shubham, First, I would say that for MBA, your educational background is not that important because it provides all basic information for business which already covered in BBA course and now if you want to do distance MBA, there is no much scope of getting the direct job after completing MBA through distance mode. But the utility of this degree cannot be ruled out completely as it is helpful in the promotions during the job. If there is an opportunity for promotions in the company in which you are working then if you have done MBA through distance then you will be given preference over the employee who is not having it. The main point to be considered is that MBA through distance mode is helpful only when you are working. One can not depend on this degree for placements without having work experience or a job in hand.

Being a fresher, I will suggest, you should go with regular MBA rather distance. Choose retail or health management for the better scope in MBA.

Brand name plays very important role for doing distance MBA from good colleges. It is a very good opportunity to develop key management skills, to enhance and sharpen personnel management skills, to evaluate current theory and practices, to develop conceptual understanding of the personnel function and its relation to broaden organisational and managerial goals and operations and to deliberate on ethical and professional issues associated with personnel activity.
