If you are going to join any coaching, then it is a very good step.

See, if your JEE score is below 70, then there is very less chance for you to score good marks in the next year. (I am talking about the chances, there can be exceptions but exceptions are very less)
Still, if you know that you won't get any decent college this time and have a decent grasp over the basics, then go for dropping.

It depends on your preparation. If you think that by dropping a year, you can practice more, then it is good. But, usually dropping a year is not a good option, unless and until you are totally focused on your career.

I dont think it is a better idea because as the year passes by there is more competition and taking a year gap will effect your academics skills.

I will say that you should think that if you will be able to maintain or gain the momentum needed to study bcz you have to study both 11-12 in same year and also you have to study it again in one year only so the main tjing is you should try to think about some topics if u think you can redo those topics with intest yhan go for it or else move ahead and explore your interest

If you are well determined and u think u can do it then you should go for it.If u think of dropping because your parents think then you should consider it that it is you who has to drop not them.

Hey,it depends. If some problems have stopped you from clearing IIT exams then you should surely go for an year drop otherwise drop the idea of dropping. When all your friends will settle in some or the other college, life will become difficult.Well there are many people who do dummy and then drop an year and still they do not qualify IIT.It may be very frustrating if after dropping an year you end up at a private college. If you are really passionate about IIT and believe you can study at least 6 hours a day then surely go for an year drop.
