Will I face any kind of ragging or harassing activity in the hostel or classroom of LPU?

Hello Yash, As you know ragging is banned all over India by Indian government but somehow there are some students who do this. Don't worry there are anti ragging cells in LPU, you can contact them if you face any problems. All the best.

I'll respond to this question based on my previous three years of experience. Ragging and violence are strictly prohibited at LPU. I have never witnessed or heard of a ragging incident at LPU. LPU is a famous Indian private institution that is known for its discipline. It is completely safe, with CCTV cameras and security officers stationed every 100 meters. Each student must file an Anti-Ragging Affidavit as part of the admissions process. When a learner concentrates over here, he or she feels safe. Ragging, drinking, smoking, narcotics, and disciplinary misbehavior are all prohibited at LPU. Entry and exit to a residential facility (hostel) are controlled by mechanised turnstile gates with biometric devices, and each GATE is linked to the warden's office so that the position of specific students can be tracked in a matter of seconds. The institution has adopted certain tough measures to combat situations such as ragging, but don't worry, no one even considers ranging. So I can say with 100% of guarantee there is no ragging at LPU.

At LPU, no one is ragged; in fact, the term ragged does not exist. At LPU, there is total secularism in the hostel culture, with seniors and juniors treated equally on campus and in the hostel. As a result, unlike other campus dormitories, there is no segregation among students based on their academic year. Students from all across the country and surrounding countries enroll at LPU and reside in the same Hostel without prejudice. With the freedom to achieve dreams come responsibilities too. 1. LPU has stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises 2. LPU has a Centralized Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university. 3. The head of the security of the university is also under the retired Brigadier (Indian Army) ensuring strict compliance with law and regulations in the university. 4. Zero-tolerance Policy for Drugs, Ragging, Eve-teasing 5. There's free internet provided for you. 6. You must carry an id card with you every time you want to enter or leave the hostel since it is bio-metric. 7. You can come to your room at any time you want. 24 hours check-in and checkout. Lovely Professional University is ragging free educational organisation. Campus is very strict about for ragging and violence. There is an Anti-Ragging Committee designed as well for looking on these topics. In the past 12 years no case has been reported for the same Cause LPU is very strict towards their rules and regulations. Its atmosphere is very friendly with lots of security persons in its 600 acres of campus. You will SEE one security person after every 100 meters and they show quick response. Also CCTV cameras are well installed around every corner of university to figure out any issue- in hostels, classrooms, gates, lawns etc.

Lovely Professional University is an explosive free educational organisation. The campus is very strict about explosions and violence. An Anti-Explosion Committee is also planned to study these issues. No cases have been registered for the same reason in the last 12 years. LPU is very strict with its rules and regulations. Its atmosphere is very friendly and the 600 acre campus has plenty of security personnel. You SEE a security guard every 100 meters and they react quickly. CCTV cameras are also well installed in every corner of the university to find out any problems - in hostels, classrooms, gates, lawns, etc.

Being a student of LPU, one thing I like most about it is that there's no ragging. LPU is very strict about these things and they regularly check up on these things take personal reviews from students if they're facing any issue or anything. And our seniors are easy to gel with. You'll easily gel with your seniors and most of the time it has been seen that seniors are always helping and guiding you through many sorts of things. In the hostel also lived with seniors and juniors. There was nothing like ragging there. Overall in LPU, you'll never face anything like ragging. I hope this helps.

Yash, no you won't face any kind of ragging or harassment as LPU is an anti-ragging campus. At the time of admission students submit anti-ragging affidavit and defaulters are penalized. LPU university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the university and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be proceeded against in accordance with UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions and under the provisions of any penal law or any other law, university rules etc. For the time being in force and such action would include but is not limited to debarment or explulsion of such student. Hence, All the students are strictly warned not to indulge themselves in any kind of indiscipline, misconduct or any acts which may be construed as ragging in or outside the campus. Such acts shall not be permitted or condoned under any circumstances and strict disciplinary action will be taken against those who are found guilty Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry &amp; exit to the residential facility. It is manned by over 400+ full-time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The security team includes experienced ex-military men and women. A dedicated &amp; expert department of security officials and personnel are on duty 24 x 7 to ensure that no drug ever enters the campus. A majority of security personnel and gunmen are experienced ex-servicemen, fully equipped and trained. Lady security staff are specially recruited for girls hostel security. LPU has more CCTVs than even the New Delhi International Airport. Dear Yash, I have spent 2 years at LPU. I did not SEE anything related to ragging or harassing activity on campus at all. In fact, in LPU everyone treats each other equally and friendly whether they are senior or junior. LPU is against such things and is very strict in such things that harm students. Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exist here. There is complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and live in the same Hostel without any discrimination. I hope this helps Thanks!
