Will marks be deducted for unanswered questions in NEET 2025?

According to the NEET exam pattern, there will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Such questions will not be taken into consideration while calculating the total marks of a candidate. Hence, if candidates are not sure about the answer of a question, it is better to leave it unattempted rather than doing a guess work, to avoid negative marking. Moreover, candidates will not get any marks for attempting extra questions in the Section B. Also, candidates are advised to revise the NEET exam sheet or OMR sheet thoroughly before submitting it to the invigilators.
