My brother has given LPU NEST last year so, I am quite familiar with the process of LPU. There are two points here to be noted. First is that there is No entrance exam for admission in LPU for BBA. Eligibility to take admission for BBA is 50% in Class 12 with English. Admission for BBA is on these days, so you can apply for the admission online. And now second point is after you are done with the admission you can apply for the Scholarship test of BBA. Test will be conducted once everything gets settled. The eligibility for B.Tech is '60% in 10+2 with (English, commerce & mathematics ) plus LPUNEST'. LPUNEST is the entrance exam. You need to apply for the same through nest.lpu.in.

First I wish to inform you that for taking admission in BBA no test is required. You can appear in LPU NEST for scholarship only. You can take any two subjects from your 12th grade with English compulsory. The test will be of MCQ's with no negative marking. Addressing your query, mathematics is not mandatory for LPU NEST. As per my knowledge, there is no entrance exam for BBA you just need to fulfill the minimum eligibility which is 50% in class 12th and you can process your admission online. Priya, BBA has no entrance test. The eligibility for BBA is
Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent.
If you want to avail scholarship then you have to appear for LPUNEST.
For BBA (Hons.), the eligibility is
Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017
OR
In case marks scored in 10+2 are 70% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.
Now, when we talk about LPUNEST paper, English is Compulsory and the student can opt for any two of the remaining Courses studies in class 12.

Dear Priya, Mathematics is not mandatory in HSC for admission into BBA. Moreover, LPU NEST is also not mandatory, it acts as a scholarship test for BBA. There might be some part of mathematics in the LPU NEST question paper, but not at the level of 10+2 maths. So, you must write LPU NEST if you want to avail or improve your scholarships. The placements for BBA have been fantastic with De Shaw taking students at 18LPA !
