The UPSC age limit for the 2024 exam is 21-32 years for the general category. Candidates must have turned 21 by August 1, 2023. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 32 years. There are age relaxations for reserved categories.
The minimum educational qualification required to apply for the IAS exam is to graduate in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidates appearing in their final year can apply if they can produce the passing certificate with the Detailed Application Form (DAF).The UPSC is required to take approval of the Ministry of Personnel to make any changes in the Civil Service (IAS) notification.
