Undoubtedly, LPU is the best for mechanical engineering. I can say that as one of my friend's brother took admission in LPU and appreciated the efforts of the staff of University. He told that LPU is best for B.Tech (Mechanical) as this university provides updated curriculum, exposure and good placements as well. In LPU, various companies used to come for mechanical engineers, so they are supposed to study CSE subject so that they can get placed with average salary so make sure you are having relevant skill, so that you can get placed in your own branch.

Yes, LPU is a good choice for engineering. LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members. There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions and accreditation down the lane and mark itself amongst the few of the top private universities. Even the placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records.

My cousin brother is pursuing B.Tech Mechanical from LPU,reviews are pretty good,He is learning.He told me that the engineering stream at LPU itself has received an overall good rating from students and alumni.
The School of Mechanical Engineering offers well engineered seamless courses for students at many different levels such as undergraduate, diploma/certificate, post-graduate and research based Ph.D. level courses, not only for Mechanical Engineering, but also for Automobile, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics as well.
Mechanical engineering deals with the working and functioning of electrical equipment's, heavy machines, different materiel to make human life easy and motor vehicles which has a large scope in the future markets.
Students recently participated in Explorica where they present numerous different project work to the students of different schools. LPU Mechanical engineering students getting global exposure while interning in cutting edge German mechanization and automation at APS Mechatronic Lab, #Aachen, #Germany.
A large scale field work is required and mechanical students keep developing themselves working in their respective workshops and their live projects.
Many people have their views that LPU students study less but to complete the statement, I would say that the students work hard. The most prominent and wide tech fest for mechanical students is GO Kart race that took place in LPU for consecutive years and LPU is bagging the top position in the race.
A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure.
School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present.
There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for recruitment of mechanical students.The packages varies from 3 Lakh to 12 Lakh per annum.
On an average, the packages are 5 Lakh in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your handwork.Students have got top packages from leading tech companies. Students of Mechanical engineering are placed in Honda, VOLTAS, XL Dynamics, Anglo Eastern Ship many more.

LPU can be said good but not the best. If you are opting for job requirements then it would be better if you choose any other institution. If you are planning for higher education then LPU is said to be good. Of-course if you are an 95% above person, for sure you will get good job here easily.
