Which university among Chandigarh University, LPU and Chitkara should I prefer for a Bachelors in agriculture?

For any agriculture related course I would prefer and recommend LPU, as it is first and only Private university to be accredited by ICAR This approval means that LPU is the only private player to have requisite qualitative and quantitative infrastructure and faculty to run the highly specialised and in demand courses like B.Sc. Agriculture, M.Sc. Agriculture and even Doctorate and Post Doctoral programs in Agriculture. The basic requirements for entry into B.Sc. Agriculture are : 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (I. e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University) * Selection committee will be comprising of Head (DSW), Director Sports, Dy. Director Sports, Concerned Coach and VC Nominee. Admission Criteria Merit in qualifying examination, subject to eligibility criteria. The fee for the course is INR 98000 per semester. However the LPU NEST and Merit based scholarships are available upto 35% of fee. Wish you all the best. DVD.

In my opinion, LPU will be the best choice because it is first university which is approved by ICAR. ICAR approved means all facilities are provided in the campus.

If you are asking about pursuing agriculture from lpu, then I think it is a good decision. Here I will only tell that what is the thing that makes lpu from all the universities that you have mentioned in your questions. You might know about ICAR. ICAR is Indian Council Of Agricultural Research that coordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of ministry og agricultural with 101 ICAR institutes and 71 agricultural universities spread across the country. Thi is basically one the largest national agricultural system in the world. The best part is lpu is India's first private university to get ICAR reconigition. Other than this placement in agricultural course is also good. Furthermore, other than placement, the campus life of lpu is amazing. Lpu has one of the best infrastructure and has the largest campus area I. e of about 660 acres. You will definitely enjoy after coming to lpu as it has everything possible things available in campus that college student needs. Hope your query is clear. Thank you.
