The eligibility criteria to get admission in NIT and IIT you have to secure more than 75% marks in class 12th. If you get less than that in class 12th and good marks and rank in JEE Mains then you are not eligible to get admission in any NIT.

You must score at least 75% marks to apply for exam. One year ago, board percentage had 40% weightage in JEE Mains rank to get admission in NITs. But, now there is no weightage of that marks.

    Hello Istiyal,
Your class 12th score doesn't matter at all for getting admission in NITs or IITs. Instead, your JEE advance scores is considered for getting admission.

Are you from general category? If yes, then I am sorry to say that you don't have a chance because for general category, 75% is must in HSC.

They are just the eligibility criteria. You just need to clear the bar of 75% that's it.
