Are the students with below 75% in CBSE boards eligible to take admission in NITs or IIITs if they clear JEE exam with qualifying score?

Kindly provide information for OBC and general quota candidates.

    Kindly predict your college in this college predictor. JEE Mains rank predictor is an online tool which predicts the candidates rank range and probable colleges based on the difficulty level of the examination, average marks scored in JEE Mains and seats available in IITs, NITs, GFTIs, and other SFTIs. The rank predicted might not be accurate but it certainly does give an idea to the aspirant. Know your college admission chances based on your JEE Main Rank, Home State, Caste, Gender, etc. Here:

    No, they can't be able to get admission in any of the NIT or IIITs as the minimum qualifying criteria is 75% in boards exam.

    No, it is not a normal practice in JoSAA but due to pandemic there were relation for past year, there is no chance that they will continue with that.

    No, there is not any criteria through which you can get admission into NITs or IIITs if you have scored less than 75% in CBSE boards.

    According to the education board of India, it is compulsory to get atleast 75% percentile in your 12th respective board, although if you have cleared the JEE exam.

    Hello Mohd Junaid,
    For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE (Main)ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination.

    Admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
