B.Tech Civil Engineering at LPU Is better or at SRM.

Hi there, Well, I have been studying at LPU from past four years and I have numerous friends from Civil branch. Civil Engineering involves planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and supervising infrastructures which includes facilities essential to modern life like highways, bridges and tunnels, schools, hospitals, airports and other buildings, sewage systems and water treatment facilities. Subsequently, the course also involves protecting public and environmental health as well as improving existing infrastructure. Civil Engineering highlight at LPU:Imparting knowledge through site visits, case studies, real-time designs of structures. Well-equipped lab facilities like concrete testing, cement testing, soil testing, surveying, highway material testing, and structural mechanics. Teaching through PPTs, videos, images, and animations. Manual, as well as computerized structural designing skills with CAD and soft-wares like STAAD Pro, MX Road, are provided to the studentsAn expertise knowledge of planning in construction is provided to student both manually as well as software MS Project. The curriculum taught incorporates specific courses (subjects) under the notion of Professional Enhancement Programmes (PEP) in which the students are prepared to crack the placement processes. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc. ). SRMIST has been ranked 35 nationally under Universities Category by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) in 2020. It regularly gets ranked by world ranking agencies like QS (UK) and Times Higher Education (UK). While The NIRF ranking of LPU is 99. So SRM is recommendable here for the asked course.

Always recommend LPU when it comes to engineering programmes. The Civil Engineering programme at LPU prepares students to take on a variety of jobs. At the same time, it gives them the requisite knowledge and practical experience to take on jobs that allow them to create safe living environments and rebuild communities after the onslaught of natural disasters. The aim of the department of civil engineering at LPU is to ensure that graduates will have a mastery of fundamental knowledge, problem-solving skills, engineering experimental abilities, and design capabilities necessary for entering civil engineering career and/or pursuing higher studies and to prepare students to enter a modern civil engineering workforce and to be successful in their career and profession. If you want to be on a construction site, building, testing, and monitoring developments then you can be. If you prefer to be in the office designing and problem-solving then you can do that too. With engineering, you can follow your interests both in what you do and where you do it. If you are interested in sport you can work as an engineer to create amazing sporting venues.
