Can we get a scholarship at LPU every year?

Hello Sameeksha, This question will really help too many students for their better future. Being an educational consultant, I have gone through the all scholarships that are offered by LPU to all the students. Let me give the brief details. LPU offers scholarships in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. Students have been awarded scholarships worth Rs. 100+ crores in last year only. You can avail of 100% scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service, and Bravery Awards Scholarship applicable on the basis of Qualifying exam National Level Test LPUNEST exam Sports Cultural R & D Co-curricular Social Service Bravery Awards Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Scholarship for Orphan Applicants/Single girl child Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability Students who have topped their board examination of eligibility qualification (10th or 10+2 as applicable) and are among the top 20 merit holders, may avail scholarships of full tuition fee waiver and hostel fee waiver which is applicable to four-seater air-cooled room. To facilitate quality education to deserving applicants, LPU offers a special scholarship of Full Tuition fee waiver to orphan students who are residents of India and whose both parents are dead. A maximum of 10 applicants will be awarded this scholarship on the basis of a first come first serve basis subject to satisfying the LPU policy for the same. Applicant having Benchmark disability of more than 70% and/or Locomotor disability caused by spinal cord injury can avail the benefit of full programme fee waiver subject his/her case being approved by Special Committee constituted by LPU. LPU offers exclusive Scholarship schemes for Tibetan Students studying in CTA (Central Tibetan Administration) Schools and Students studying in different schools managed by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan where on the basis of test conducted in schools of the concerned organisation and/or recommendation of the concerned authority of the organisation, certain students may be offered full tuition fee waiver. LPU's motto is to provide scholarship to all the students of the University. There are multiple segments of scholarships are available for the students. With this effort students are encouraged to get their quality education from the globally renowned University in most beneficial & affordable way. I had pursued my B.Tech. Followed by MBA from LPU with the highest benefit of academic scholarship through LPU NEST Exam. One thing is good in LPU in terms of scholarship that, if any student is entitled with Academic Scholarship in the first semester, the same amount of scholarship will remain applicable for all the semesters of study. That means it will remain recurring type for all the semesters till the end of the course. As per my understanding, I have studied, there are certain excellent Scholarship Opportunities available in Lovely Professional University in all the courses. 1) There is upto 60% scholarship through LPU NEST Exam or Percentage in previous two qualifications. 2) 100% scholarship may also be achieved through Sports / Cultural Scholarship. 3) Defence Scholarship provided to wards of Defence personnel. 4) Scholarship can also be achieved based on Rank achieved in National level Test. 5) Scholarship on performance in Social Service / Bravery (NSS/NCC) 6) Scholarship on performance in Research & Development (R&D) 7) Board Topper, Orphan Scholarships are also available in LPU. 8) Scholarship also be extended to person with certain disability. So, the University extends Scholarship and Financial Aid Scheme which is an initiative by the University to cultivate the talent of students that may be hidden due to financial constraints. Scholarship/ Financial Aid can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. In the last seven years, University has offered Scholarships/ Financial Aid worth 500+ Crores. Scholarship will generally be awarded on the basis of previous performance in academics, cultural, sports or other activities or under specific scholarship schemes category for a particular section of students. Hi, Yes, of course. LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPU NEST Sports, Defence, COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship, and many more. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, only one scholarship you will get is the maximum one. The best thing is if you get the scholarship, the tuition fees after getting a scholarship will be applicable every semester. Thanks.

Hi there, Hi dear, Well, being alumni at LPU, I feel I answer your query. There are different kinds of scholarships that students are offered by LPU, depends which one gets to avail themselves. The first one is based on the performance in LPU NEST for the courses where qualifying LPU NEST is mandatory to get admission. The scholarship is for the whole degree except for Ph.D. where it is only for the first three years, and scholarship is snatched if a student is found in any indisciplinary action. The next is the scholarship to those students who are board-level toppers. Their scholarship is also for the whole duration of the degree but the student has to maintain the CGPA of 8, 8.5,9 and above with passing year otherwise, the scholarship reduces. Then there comes the scholarship based on sports and other co-curricular activities. This scholarship is also condition-based. These students have to maintain the performance with passing year otherwise the scholarship reduces. The next scholarship is to those students who have a background in the armed forces (central only). This scholarship is valid for the whole duration of the course. The next scholarship LPU provides is to orphans and especially disabled students. This is also for the whole duration of the course. The only exception there is of Ph.D. where the scholarship is only provided for the first three years. In nutshell, whichever scholarship one gets, remains for the whole duration of course except for Ph.D. and except the case where a student is found in any in-disciplinary misconduct or poor academic performance. LPU provides scholarship to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students on the basis of the following points: 1. LPU NEST exam performance 2. Qualifying Exam or Academics 3. I am a pass out from LPU and have profoundly utilized my time here in shaping my personality along with self-analysis. Unlike other universities, rules and regulations are quite strict here. From academics to extra-curricular activities, thorough support is given by our mentors/seniors, professors and management. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. Students have been awarded with scholarship worth Rs. 100+ crores in last year only. Students get different scholarships as per their performances in the academic as well as in other activities. The scholarship is also available on the basis of: Percentage in Qualifying Exam Percentage in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular Activities (CCA), Social Services and National Bravery Award Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Fee Concession for Defense, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel and their dependents. Scholarship for Orphan Applicants Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability As per my knowledge, Whatever scholarships you are awarded at the time of admission, it will be continue till the last semester, But it can be cancelled in case of any serious misconduct or in disciplinary action committed by the student or poor academic performance.

Hi Sameeksha, It depends on what basis you are getting scholarship. If you are getting scholarship on the basis of sports, then every year you need to maintain some minimum points in order to continue that scholarship. Rest for other scholarship like, on the basis of previous qualification score, LPU NEST and other, the scholarship once applicable will be continued to whole course duration until and unless no disciplinary action is taken against a student. The best thing which I feel about LPU is that the university offers many scholarships on various parameters and one of them is based on your performance in LPU NEST. In some courses LPU NEST is mandatory but in others it is for scholarships. I got a great scholarship when I was studying M.Tech from LPU. Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories: 1. Eligibility Qualification The scholarship will also be offered on the basis of Eligibility qualification. 2. Certain National Level Tests (like JEE Main NEET UCEED CAT MAT GATE GPAT etc. ) 3. LPU NEST. (LPU National Entrance & Scholarship Test) 4. Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service and Bravery Awards 5. Special Scholarships and/or Fee Concessions for Ph.D. Applicants (Scholarship phases as mentioned below are not applicable) Defense and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel and their dependents Toppers of Education Board Scholarship for Orphan Applicants Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability Depending on your performance in the Scholarship Exam you can avail the scholarship accordingly. Generally the scholarship is awarded for every semester and it keeps on renewing if you fulfil the eligibility criteria for that particular scholarship. For example, if you have a general scholarship then you need to meet the minimum CGPA criteria and if you have availed the sports based scholarship then you need to get the minimum points to continue the sports scholarship.
