Dear, Substantial changes in CAT syllabus have occurred during last 2-3 years of CAT exam and as such the different topics included in all the sections of CAT 2017 exam syllabus may throw different questions which are not traditionally asked in Common Admission Test CAT conducted by Iims. CAT 2017 is the entrance exam for admission to 20 Iims and other top B-schools like FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, IMI, IMT, JBIMS, TAPMI among others. This year IIM Lucknow is convening CAT 2017. The exam will be held on November 26, 2017 in 2 sessions.

As for preparation strategy, aspirants shouldn't change anything. Focus on your strengths and weakness like you planned to. However, exam taking strategy will change. Candidates have to attempt each section for 60 minutes. There's no option of attempting your the strongest section first or last - it's all decided by CAT authorities. Non-MCQ questions are making an entrance this year.

Yes. I strongly agree with this. Because day by day the tests are becoming very difficult but the time is still constant.

There is no need to change your entire methods and strategies that you are using for CAT studies. All it is required to keep updated with the latest articles and updates from the Iims official Portal regarding to CAT preparations. By the time you have to just find some extra resources to solve additional question bank and prepare.
