It certainly is in the long term. The whole world is moving to online and paperless, and COVID-19 has forced the education system to also move in the same direction. If we can move to a whole video based teaching curriculum, then many students who don't go to college classes due to the constrained timings of college, will also be able to study at their own pace. Due to this very reason, MOOC's are so famous and it will be great if the Indian higher education system can also follow this.

Everyone is coping with the situation and the best way is to explore more options which we came across. The NorthCap University has responded very quickly on its feet to break the chain to stop the spread of the virus in a structured manner. Since 16 March 2020, the university is holding online classes through Microsoft teams and it worked out very well. All the quizzes, assignment and vivas being held online and students are getting more supplemented material from Coursera, Swayam and NPTEL platforms to enhance their knowledge and moreover, now the university has decided to conduct online examination for the final year students so tha

I am assuming, the future is digital for students now. Owing to their flexibility and setting, online courses can be liberating for those who would otherwise struggle to hold down the demands of everyday life while at the same time working towards a degree in traditional higher education. As a result, people who may have previously missed out on higher education due to financial, geographic, political or personal constraints can be given another chance to study online.

Hi, I wouldn't agree with the point that it is a good thing. It is an immediate impact on students to adapt to the technology culture. Not everyone is open to using technology, imagine a kid from an economically weaker background, he doesn't have a smart phone or a laptop. How will he cope up with the education system during this pandemic? Other crucial point is network issues, privacy breach, unexpected student conduct with faculty members online are major concerns. I am a student who loves to sit in the class and be mentored by faculty members, I am not a fan of online mentoring or online classes. There would be a psychological chang

Many universities in India are offering online classes to its students already. However, many pedagogy institutes in India don't seem to be equipped with such facilities. Within the event of such a spot, some students might face the brunt brutally, which could affect their entire school year. Unless we adopt from countries where the quality of education is much more advanced & flexible compared to ours. Indian Colleges will take time to handle the change and be hospitable the new methods because the approach of the education system here may be a lecture-based approach to teaching. Digital teaching is more evident in schools and therefo

Covid pandemic has created considerable damage to human life and country's economy but there is an old saying which says that every adversity brings new opportunities. The new acronyms to be used in future will be BC, DC and AC namely Before Covid, During Covid and After Covid. During Covid period has already witnessed a surge in the digital space. It will create more opportunities in this domain. Educational institutions would have to embrace digitalisation. It would further create opportunities in telecom and ISP sector. For the next couple of years, number of students willing to go abroad for higher education will witness a declinin

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced schools and colleges to prevent working temporarily and is causing havoc within the education system. Here are the steps being taken by colleges to stay education going:

It is affected greatly on classroom learning. However, there are few ways we can try to get maximum out of it:
    1. Practical Classes:
For the conduct of practical classes in disciplines where it is absolutely necessary when students have moved out of campus and actual performance is not possible. Teachers can record pre lab videos and share it with students. During lockdown faculty record introductory explanation of experiments, expected outcomes of the experiment, circuit diagrams and procedure for performing experiments (in case of Electronics experiments), Explain flow of programs in case of simulation experiments and expected output/

The learning, teaching & assessment methodologies was the first on to be effected by the pandemic. Only few universities like IIT, BITs, NCU (The NorthCap University) were the first one to adopt online teaching methodology at the earliest. The pandemic has transformed the centuries old, chalk- talk teaching model to technology driven model. This virtual learning is also pushing to figure out innovative methods for student engagement. The NorthCAp University, Gurgaon had a smooth transition without any hiccups to online teaching-learning methodology as, it is ICT enabled campus and had a system in place for holding live classes. Positive things happened during Covid Pandemic:
    1. Government Intervention:
In response to the challenge of colleges and schools being shut, central government, state governments and private players have come up with various initiatives to support and benefit the students. To help students continue their learning during the pandemic, various e-learning portals and apps have been launched by the government and education bodies such as DIKSHA portal, e-Pathshala, Swayam, etc.
    2. Good impact on Higher education in Indian Universities:

Covid Pandemic has created a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) environment around the globe. However, there are few silver linings in this crisis in context of India. Firstly, the organizations are now looking for innovative methods of working and communicating with their stakeholders. Secondly, various startups are developing innovative solutions for the problems arising out of this pandemic. It is speculated that few industrial sectors would witness drastic changes in their business operations, post Covid. However, one sector that would remain unperturbed even in the present catastrophe is Education, both at School an

Now a days the measure concern of this Covid pandemic is the reduction in economic activity as well as health globally. Currently due to economic crisis there is fear in job market also as well as fear in public regarding their safety but simultaneous it has positive effects also like environment and skills development. There is improvement in the quality of air, reduced pollutants in rivers etc. On negative side of Covid19, there is interruption in students learning because classroom interaction was taken as best one for teaching due to face to face interaction and discussion with students but now some universities are doing very good

A very important positive outcome that can be associated with this pandemic is that the universities are surely going to get plentiful opportunities for consultancy. Considering the present situation and position of industry, they are definitely going to need innovations not only in technology but in the management aspect as well to overcome the effects of the pandemic and get back on track. So basically, it would be the best possible time for Universities with established infrastructure and research potential to offer services to the industry and establish a win-win situation with them.

Yes, Covid-19 is one of the great opportunities for the education sector. Earlier, a lot of students used to ditch classes on regular basis with lame excuses. But since the lockdown, students are forced to attend the classes on daily basis through the help of Zoom and other apps. They are submitting assignments and attending quiz sessions and also take part in classroom activities. So, this is the best time to improvise classroom learning via online means. According to me, Covid-19 has somehow proved to be beneficial for the Indian higher education.

The COVID19 pandamic is changing the world. The way government, organisations, institutions operate will drastically change. This is a long-term effect that will be observed across sectors and industries. The higher education sector is also undergoing tech shift, what futurists have foreseen is now happening. Millions of students have already started virtual based learning and techniques. This change will definitely bring the most innovative learning techniques with one to many learners across the spectrum. Mainstream institutions are also planning and willing to go digital. Having said this, one important thing to keep in mind is movi

As far as the impact of COVID Pandemic on the education system is concerned, I just have three major points to share with you all. The first one is about the students who are in the midway of their education their academic results have not been declared yet as the exams did not happen or few exams left to happen. The ongoing situation has forced either to change the evaluation criteria on a very short notice that would for sure going to affect the academic position of the student in terms of numeric merit or grade. Another thing is the mental state of the student due to this ongoing phase may not support the child to prepare for the up

Change is the only constant thing in this world. We have to accept it at times with a pinch of salt. Technology has enabled us to face the current challenges. One has to keep innovating but yes, it's a difficult task. We need to accept not everyone has been blessed to have the facilities which some of us have. Online teaching, virtual classroom teaching can never be a substitution to normal classroom teaching it can only be complemented. Apart from academic learning, a student learns much more in campus. Learning in isolation will not help in the holistic development of a student. Interacting with each other is very important.Great Onl
