It certainly is in the long term. The whole world is moving to online and paperless, and COVID-19 has forced the education system to also move in the same direction. If we can move to a whole video based teaching curriculum, then many students who don't go to college classes due to the constrained timings of college, will also be able to study at their own pace. Due to this very reason, MOOC's are so famous and it will be great if the Indian higher education system can also follow this.

I am assuming, the future is digital for students now. Owing to their flexibility and setting, online courses can be liberating for those who would otherwise struggle to hold down the demands of everyday life while at the same time working towards a degree in traditional higher education. As a result, people who may have previously missed out on higher education due to financial, geographic, political or personal constraints can be given another chance to study online.

Hi, I wouldn't agree with the point that it is a good thing. It is an immediate impact on students to adapt to the technology culture. There would be a psychological change in the students of how classes will be happening and stage of confusion how will the exams be conducted. A proper pattern should be adopted to give it a good view. The other perspective is when I spoke to few families, their kids are not interested in attending online classes, they put the call on mute and tend to follow their regular routine. There is a complete gap in this approach of education. We need to find a better approach instead of saying that this 'Pandemic is a good thing to have happened for education system'. .

Indian Colleges will take time to handle the change and be hospitable the new methods because the approach of the education system here may be a lecture-based approach to teaching. Digital teaching is more evident in schools and therefore the school students/ teachers/parents are more leisurely with this approach in comparison to pedagogy set-up in India. With board exams, university exams, college exams, the doorway test being postponed, it will be an enormous challenge for colleges to finish their syllabus on time without compromising on the education quality. From delay in board exams to school being shutdown to delay in national level entrance tests, it's the tutorial year of the scholars which will suffer. Given that the standard focus has been on offline centers of education, we believe a mixture of online and offline is what's going to add the approaching months, which may hopefully be converted to a permanent module. COVID-19 will affect pedagogy in India but what it's taught us is to create resilience to face such threats within the future. Students have to make the foremost of the uncertainty that prevails and use now to arrange for exams or take up online courses, which will help them in their future.

To ensure the protection of prospective students, parents and their staff, these institutes have adopted an expansion of online virtual methodologies to facilitate the full admission process. HEIs are using webinars for sharing information on programs, video concerns one-to-one interactions, and virtual campus tours to showcase the campus life and facilities available. The results are declared online and thus the fees payment and other admission formalities also are completed online.

Faculty can also inform about web resources for the respective practicals and conduct online test using Google form quiz option or any other online test option. There is one more option students can use Virtual Labs created by IITans. Internal assessment tests and viva voce examinations: HEIs can conduct two online MCQ test of one hour and average of scored marks in two test can be considered as Internal Assessment marks. Faculty can prepare test paper using Google form Quiz option and share link to students on mail. Online viva voce exam can be conducted by using online meeting options like zoom, google meet/duo etc. Internship to students: University affiliated HEI students usually doing internship in their vacation period after theory examinations. They are attending internship in different companies or different sectors available for internship. In current situation students can attend internship through online access during lockdown period instead of doing it after theory examination. There are many industries which offer online paid/unpaid internship, students can take benefits of Internshala Internship scheme of AICTE.

The only drawback seen is that the students in remote areas having issues internet connectivity are facing issues in learning. Hence, in the time of crisis, an effective education practice is what is needed for the capacity building of young minds.

Good impact on Higher education in Indian Universities: The pandemic has significantly disrupted the higher education. A large number of Indian students enroll in universities abroad, especially in countries the worst affected by the pandemic, the US, UK, Australia and China. Many such students have now been barred from leaving these countries. If the situation persists, in the long run, a decline in the demand for international higher education is expected. 3. Technology Transfer: The adoption of technology in education has led to an unprecedented transformation from teacher-centric education towards student-centric education. The pandemic has transformed the centuries-old, chalktalk teaching model to one driven by technology. This disruption in the delivery of education is pushing policymakers to figure out how to drive engagement at scale while ensuring inclusive e-learning solutions and tackling the digital divide. 4. Students preferred Mobile Internet Usage: Mobile Internet Usage is expected to reach 85% households by 2024 in India. With a rapid increase of mobile internet users in India. This can change the HEIs system and increase the effectiveness of learning and teaching, giving students and teachers multiple options to choose from. Many aspirational districts have initiated innovative, mobile-based learning models for effective delivery of education, which can be adopted by others. 5. Students choose best E learning course from the available courses: Many e-learning players offer multiple courses on the same subjects with different levels of certifications, methodology and assessment parameters. 6. Capacity building of young minds: In this time of crisis, a well-rounded and effective educational practice is what is needed for the capacity-building of young minds. It will develop skills that will drive their employability, productivity, health, and well-being in the decades to come, and ensure the overall progress of India.

Secondly, various startups are developing innovative solutions for the problems arising out of this pandemic. It is speculated that few industrial sectors would witness drastic changes in their business operations, post Covid. However, one sector that would remain unperturbed even in the present catastrophe is Education, both at School and Professional levels. Reason being that India is a population of youth with majority in the age group below 25 years of age. This segment is actively in the pursuit of career growth through education and skill development. The lockdown posed a serious challenge for the Indian academic institutions including Business schools, to come up with the creative methods of teaching and imparting skills. Most of these adapted swiftly and moved to the virtual mode of teaching, thanks to the available technologies such as Google Hangout, MS Teams, Zoom, etc. B-Schools are smoothly conducting online examinations apart from continuing with their routine admissions for the new session. The online process of admissions have in fact provided more flexibility and convenience to both the candidates as well as B-schools. It is heartening to note that even in the present uncertain environment, most of the recruiters in the B-schools have exhibited high ethical conduct by honouring their commitments of final and summer campus placements. While some had already initiated the joining process before the lockdown, others are boarding the new joinees online. The year 2020 would be the landmark year when post pandemic, global economy including that of India would rise phenomenally. World has witnessed the same several times after the World wars, Great depression and 2008 economic crisis. Already, several US and European companies are expected to shift their bases out of China and move to India. This will open up enormous employment opportunities for the Indian youths. So the outlook is positive and bright and we should keep on upgrading ourselves in competencies and qualifications so as to become relevant in the hopefully new world.

Now a days the measure concern of this Covid pandemic is the reduction in economic activity as well as health globally. Currently due to economic crisis there is fear in job market also as well as fear in public regarding their safety but simultaneous it has positive effects also like environment and skills development. There is improvement in the quality of air, reduced pollutants in rivers etc. On negative side of Covid19, there is interruption in students learning because classroom interaction was taken as best one for teaching due to face to face interaction and discussion with students but now some universities are doing very good

Even though it disturbs the education system suddenly because people SEE this type of situation once in a lifetime but slowly, we are preparing to avoid losses in education system. Due to covid19 pandemic, many of the higher educational institutions are preparing for online exam instead of traditional exam patterns for all courses. This is new area for faculty as well as students. This will enhance many skills and prepared the society for future, if needed. As per my view, soon everyone will understand and mentally prepared for online work culture and hence this reduces the losses due to this type of pandemic situation. Hope, soon we will back to our normal situation with large enhancement in many skills that will be good for job markets as well as other society needs. No doubt Covid19 pandemic had badly affected every sector globally, simultaneously it enhanced our skills and work culture.

A very important positive outcome that can be associated with this pandemic is that the universities are surely going to get plentiful opportunities for consultancy. Considering the present situation and position of industry, they are definitely going to need innovations not only in technology but in the management aspect as well to overcome the effects of the pandemic and get back on track. So basically, it would be the best possible time for Universities with established infrastructure and research potential to offer services to the industry and establish a win-win situation with them.

Yes, Covid-19 is one of the great opportunities for the education sector. Earlier, a lot of students used to ditch classes on regular basis with lame excuses. But since the lockdown, students are forced to attend the classes on daily basis through the help of Zoom and other apps. They are submitting assignments and attending quiz sessions and also take part in classroom activities. So, this is the best time to improvise classroom learning via online means. According to me, Covid-19 has somehow proved to be beneficial for the Indian higher education.

The COVID19 pandamic is changing the world. The way government, organisations, institutions operate will drastically change. This is a long-term effect that will be observed across sectors and industries. The higher education sector is also undergoing tech shift, what futurists have foreseen is now happening. This change will definitely bring the most innovative learning techniques with one to many learners across the spectrum. Mainstream institutions are also planning and willing to go digital. This new era will have to re-design and innovate in terms of digital learning. With all that is happening and the new normal that we have to accept and live in, one thing is certain that we will be witness to an era of next gen digital learning.

As far as the impact of COVID Pandemic on the education system is concerned, I just have three major points to share with you all. The first one is about the students who are in the midway of their education their academic results have not been declared yet as the exams did not happen or few exams left to happen. The ongoing situation has forced either to change the evaluation criteria on a very short notice that would for sure going to affect the academic position of the student in terms of numeric merit or grade. The ongoing situation has forced either to change the evaluation criteria on a very short notice that would for sure going to affect the academic position of the student in terms of numeric merit or grade. Another thing is the mental state of the student due to this ongoing phase may not support the child to prepare for the upcoming exam the same way as he/she had to. The purpose is not to demotivate anyone but I am just trying to share the ground reality as per human nature. Another issue is with the students who were about to leave college or school this year. Some of them were about to join companies, some of them were ready to sit for placements, last year school students were highly involved in deciding about the new directions they need to move. Now all these students must be living with a question. What next? Now the third concern is related to the changing mode of education that is schools and colleges going online. For college going students, it is almost going in a comfortable way but if we talk about the school going kids, now parents need to be tech-savvy. Small kids cannot handle every technical stuff on their own. Now, if parents are also occupied in their work from home then it becomes a challenging job to balance. In the end, I just have a small and common suggestion for all these concerns that is have patience is the most important skill you need to possess if you don't have then develop the same. Nothing would help if you don't have patience. Another thing is do not consider this period as a holiday this is the time to work harder and prepare ourselves for the time to come, not to answer anyone but to answer ourselves that yes I have prepared myself for all the challenges I may face because of this COVID 19. Stay Safe, stay healthy. God bless you all!

Change is the only constant thing in this world. We have to accept it at times with a pinch of salt. Technology has enabled us to face the current challenges.
