Oth Full Time & Part time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part Time programme, applicants are required to submit NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for Ph.D. programme.

Part-time Ph.D. is offered to full-time employees with a concession in their fees It depends on staff or faculty member either they want to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Part-time or full-time mode. Yes, they do offer part time and both full time PhD in various disciplines. My sister did her part time PhD from LPU along with her job. So, you can also choose your relevant discipline and can join it. LPU conducts National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for Ph.D. aspirants. Research Scholars studying in Post-Graduation can apply for LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). From the outset of the LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) numerous aspirants have been appearing in the LPUNEST exam every year. LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) provides an extensive opportunity to the aspirants who wish to join Ph.D. programme at LPU and pursue their career in the direction of research. Course work is mandatory for all the Research Scholars admitted in Ph.D. Programme. All research scholars admitted to the Ph.D. programme will be required to complete the course work prescribed by the university during the initial one or two semesters. The course work shall consist of the following three courses: Course I: Foundations of Research and Publication Ethics Course II: Research Methodology Course III: Research Writing and Presentation Min. 75% Aggregate attendance is mandatory in the course work. Both Full Time & Part-time Ph.D. programs are available in LPU. In Case of Ph.D. Part-Time programs, applicants are required to submit a NOC (No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission. Other than Engineering disciplines, Students who have done their Masters in Distance Mode, are eligible for the Ph.D. The duration of the Ph.D. will be a minimum of 3 Years & a Maximum of 6 Years (2 Years extra relaxation is also there for the female students). LPU offers flexible course work in three different options and the tentative schedule is mentioned below: Option I Duration - One semester - August to November - Saturdays 03:00 P. M. - 05:00 P. M. Sundays 09:00 A. M. - 04:00 P. M. Option II Duration - 4 days* every month (*preferably every second week (Thursday-Sunday) September to December - 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) Option III Duration - 15 days - November to December - 09:00 A. M. - 06:00 P. M. (daily) For Full-Time Ph.D. students : After presenting a State-Of-the-Art (SOTA) seminar, there is a fair chance for the students to pursue teaching assistantship in LPU only.
