Apart from North-East and Sikkim students, Kashmiri Migrants and students from Defence background also get this benefit.

Eligibility Criteria for students from all over the nation is passing with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with subject Physics, Mathematics and English to qualifying LPUNEST but I think not many colleges do that as like as LPU give 5% relaxation in eligibility criteria to North-East applicants i.e. Applicants who have completed their Qualifying Exam or have Domicile from the North East States. Along with notheast, student belongs to Sikkim, Defense Background or a Kashmiri Migrants have the same relaxation on eligibility.
As metioned above if a student have passed 12th with more than 5 subjects and he/she haven't 55% in 10+2 with 5 subjec

While LPU doesn't explicitly mention specific benefits for North-East students on its website, the university has a history of providing support and opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds.

LPU has been known to offer relaxations in eligibility criteria, such as lower minimum marks, for students from certain regions, including the North-East. Additionally, the university provides various scholarships and financial aid options to deserving students, regardless of their region of origin.

Indeed, students in North-Eastern states, Sikkim, defence force and their dependents and wards of Kashmiri migrants may receive 5 per cent relaxation of minimum eligibility standards in the B.Sc. This is an indication that rather than the standard 60 percent aggregate marks in 10+2 in subjects such as English, Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology, 55 percent marks suffice these candidates to qualify. This break exemplifies the principle of inclusion and providing students belonging to different backgrounds of equal opportunity for learning at LPU. These ar
