6 years agoYes, the person who has work experience always has an upper hand in the placements rather than freshers and the salary offered to the experienced candidates is more as compared to freshers. But if you are a fresher and presenting yourself in an attractive manner then you can also get a good job. -
Yes, work experience plays a vital role while you are sitting for placement after completing MBA/PGDM. There are some companies which only hire students with prior work experience only so work experience does matter. Apart from placement, work experience also helps to understand MBA curriculum better because someone with work experience is familiar with the working of the companies (work environment). So, work experience adds more weight to your resume and helps you to stand out of the crowd.
I hope you will find this useful. -

Yes, having work experience gives you an additional edge over others. The reason for this is because work experience makes you familiar with organizational behavior, the importance of mailing, the importance of time and punctuality, familiarity with work culture, how to work efficiently and effectively.
Experience do matter but it is not mandatory. If you are engaged in college and co-curricular and extracurricular activities, then these will also add value while interviewing. Also, you can try to do internships if possible. -

Also, what particular industry, company and role you have worked in and what are some of your significant contributions as well as achievements play a key role.
