It depends from company to company and the kind of profile they want to have. Different corporate companies have different strategies. Some like to have freshers while some like to have work experience.
Marketing profile companies like to have freshers in their organization. This is because, they believe that freshers are more suitable for doing the kind of job they would prefer. While consulting companies prefer to have work experience people. This is because, it would be more suitable for them to do the work and adjust well into the corporate organization. It is all about the job for criteria, that the companies are looking forward in

Companies, when they come to colleges for recruitment purposes, look at certain aspects. Which includes:
    1. Academics 2. Work Experience 3. Courses relevant to the Job role 4. CV
Most of the companies use filtration of batch profiles and based on their required criteria, they shortlist students. These criteria could be 60% and above in 10th, 12th and graduation. Yes, majority of the companies look for experienced students, rather than freshers. The major reason is, that they can use students with experience in a different way as compared to freshers. Freshers won't be able to adjust with job profile easily. Little time is required for them to get into track.
An Experience of 1-2 years help a lot for having high salary package with luxury life. Indian companies especially MNCS like L&T, MCDONALD, TATA, ADITYA BIRLA, JK, APOLLO, all uses experienced Graduates. I suggest you to take up a job before joining MBA /PGDM.
The company which comes for placement in the college definitely look for students

Having a considerable work experience (5-10 yrs) is any recruiter's delight. Most of the MBA jobs, especially consulting require candidates to be well versed in one or more industry. Most of the jobs are tailor-made to suit an experienced MBA than a fresher. If I had no experience, I don't know what I would have talked about in my interviews. If you closely look at B-School essays, they tend to ask for the most challenging situation or tell me about a time when you. So, MBA is more suited for experienced professionals. The economics of training and selection kicks in and for sure and at the end of the day, it makes sense for a recruite

It all depends on what you have done till date, for example you have experience of 2 years in an industry but you haven't taken any role of responsibility in your work. You have not done anything worth and do not have any examples to prove either, in such cases your experience counts for nothing, on the other hand you are a fresher and you have taken up many roles of responsibility in your school days and colleges career, you have things to support your argument too that will be more valuable than work experience.
What do they mostly look for in you as a candidate?
    1) Whether you are passionate enough in whatever you do.
    2) Whether you ar
