LPU is famous for its placements, more than 700 companies are regular recruiters from the campus every year. From Trident which offered 15 LPA to Emeryll to Forbes Marshall which offered 6 lacs of package, students get a whole lot of placement opportunities depending upon their domains and CGPA as well as their interests. Many students in Mechanical stream also opt for further studies for their career prospects in research and faculty positions. LPU is a very good choice for mechanical engineering, and it has great placement records. Talking about placements records, students of School of mechanical Engineering got selected in Honda Ltd, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Tech Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, BHEL, L&T, Siemens, Reliance, John Deer, Appeal group, Asahi Glass India Ltd, Cognizant, Anglo Eastern Ship Mgmt, Zycus, Think and Learn, Cactus Communications, XL Dynamics, Lava International, Unisys, Jet Airways, ELG, Daikin Air-conditioning, Honda, Voltas, TATA motors, Cummins India and the list is really on.
Students of School of Mechanical Engineering also got selected in many MNCs with an average package of 5 to 55 lakhs. Moreover, ASSOCHAM (Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India) rated LPU as Best Private University with regards to placements. Zee News Survey rated LPU as 11th Best in India in Placements.

And the icing on the cake is LPUs Mechanical students achievement; got 2nd Price in Auto Cross Event in Supra SAE India -2017 held at Buddha International Circuit, Greater Noida. Out of 126 teams, only 30 teams were able to clear the Technical Inspection and Static round to qualify for Dynamic events. LPU team Illuminati Racers was one of them, 1st Runner Up in Design Competition of Efficycle 2017 held in LPU in collaboration with SAE India North Zone, Maruti Suzuki and ICAT, Student of LPU Vinod and his team mate got 1st prize in DELTA CUP China Held at Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province of China, Team qualified in virtual Round of Baja 2018 and the list goes on.
Recently, one of LPU students won the prestigious STEM Engagement Award 2019 accorded by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, USA as the part of NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge. Only 4 teams were selected to participate from India and LPU was one of them.
Now, after having so much exposure, so much of potential I really think LPU is the best.

Manoj, placements are very good. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. The University has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Several big brands of the industry have visited LPU campus during academic session 2016-2017 for campus placements like Voltas, Honda, Volkswagen, Tech Mahendra, CTS, etc. LPU students have also availed opportunities of placements in government services like Indian Army, Indian Navy, Transport Corporation of India, etc. through on-campus/off-campus placement drives and SSB interviews. Engineering programmes are the heart of any institution and so is of LPU. There is no point to compare because every organisation is just doing good at their places but yes I have heard alot about LPU because of its good number of years of establishment and the rankings it possess. Last year my friend wanted to admit his son in good engineering institute. After lot of inquiry, we decided to opt for LPU.
As we all know that B. Tech Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves production, designing, and operations of machines and the main objective of LPU is to prepare students for applying the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
LPU provides the different areas under study such as Applied Mechanics, Machine Design, Materials Engineering, manufacturing Engineering and many more.
The Mechanical Department of LPU has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The Department has to its credit more than 100 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference.

Last year, one of the students gets placed for INR. 21 lacs, but it was out campus placement average salary offered to mechanical engineer is around INR. 4 lacs, and if you are having good skills in your field, then you will surely get placed with good package.
