How are the placements for B.Tech mechanical engineering in LPU?

Hi. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services. The university has been ranked high by various outer agencies with regard to placements of our students. More than 550 companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU. Being an alumni of LPU and active member of Alumni committee, i would like to tell LPU is famous for its placements. Being an alumni I would like to share my insights. A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. Lovely Professional University provides several programs that include B.Tech, B.Tech (Hons. ), a dual degree programme for B.Tech and M.Tech and B.Tech and MBA and integrated programs like B.Tech and MBA and B.Tech and M.Tech. Here at LPU, you can get enrolled in any stream as per your interest and choice. Every year many students join the various engineering courses that are offered by LPU. Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technologys Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs etc. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc. Faculties are highly qualified, most of the faculties have done their Ph.D and others are pursuing, They have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge.They are cooperative and whenever you need their help they are ready to help you out. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc.) All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement. Mechanical Engineering students at LPU are provided with enormous opportunities of placement drives. I can see my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology,XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. Companies like Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc are prominent recruiters here.LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two etc.

Hi there, LPU is famous for its placements, more than 700 companies are regular recruiters from the campus every year. From Trident which offered 15 LPA to Emeryll to Forbes Marshall which offered 6 lacs of package, students get a whole lot of placement opportunities depending upon their domains and CGPA as well as their interests. Many students in Mechanical stream also opt for further studies for their career prospects in research and faculty positions. With the course outcomes like following; the students are bound to become industry ready: 1 : Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learning from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools. 2 : Ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. 3 : Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using basic understanding of Thermodynamics, Heat transfer and Fluid Mechanics. 4 : Demonstrate the ability to propose cost effective optimized solutions using simulated environment of Computer aided design, computer aided manufacturing and computer aided engineering. Hi Manoj, the placement at LPU are awesome. Thousands of students are working at various top multinationals of the world drawing dream packages. The LPU offers a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering. It is an Engineering programme which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal etc specialization. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST/ JEE (Mains). For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) If Candidate has 85 or more percentile in JEE(Mains), then LPUNEST is exempted. The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools. He should have the Ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. Placements are good in LPU especially for Engg programmes. LPU provides the ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placements and huge infrastructure, good faculty, Mac Labs, extra curriculum activities and cool campus environment with great facilities. Engineering programmes are the heart of any institution and so is of LPU. B. Tech Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves production, designing, and operations of machines and the main objective of LPU is to prepare students for applying the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. LPU provides the different areas under study such as Applied Mechanics, Machine Design, Materials Engineering, manufacturing Engineering and many more.
