How are the placements of B.Tech biotechnology at LPU?

The placements here at LPU are quite good when it comes to engineering with core branches , pharmacy and agriculture. Biotechnology is relatively new branch in India and trying to evolving its scope . Though it is a very practical application when technology get mixed with medical science but still , it is finding its place in INDIA . when it comes to placements there are companies visiting in LPU such as ABOTT, mankind for placements in these companies but it is seen in LPU that they they lack somewhere in talking skills as well as there presentation skills though somestudents get a good package upto 6 lakhs but the percentage is not good that much. For that you have to show a sacrificing nature throughout to get a good package in a big company or for practice in any clinic and hospital. Moreover lpu is overall nice university . ALL u have to do is to prove yourself capable and remark your intelligence upto remarkable level . when it comes to opportunities , lpu will provide you ample opportunities for placements.

Hello! I would say Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. If you re looking for quality education, good placements, exposure, academics then LPU is right place, it has all. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. She told me Faculty members works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Bio sciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community. LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences is equipped with state-of-the-art Bioprocess Engineering and Bioscience labs and believes in imparting knowledge to students through a practical approach to achieve mastery in plant and animal physiology. Few points told by my known who did her studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: The course offers specializations in Dairy Technology, Fermentation Technology and Bioinformatics. The curriculum offers prime focus on fundamental and applied aspects of biotechnology. In addition to core curricula, course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. She said, specializations may be offered in Dairy Technology or Fermentation Technology or Molecular Biotechnology (subject to minimum number of students and feasibility)The curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the students to prepare themselves for giant exams like CSIR NET ICMR, ICAR, and GATE. With an experienced faculty of 30+ in the department who are ready to help the students round the clock, seven days a week, this institute is one of the best options for the young population to opt for biotechnology. Companies like Panacea biotech, Dalmia healthcare, Root analysis, Cactus (and the list goes on) visit the campus every year. Also the scope is just not limited to work in the corporate sector in areas like marketing, quality controls or as research associative (for companies like Root anaylsis and cactus) but also the research areas. Due to this pandemic situation, Now a days online Induction is going on, University conducted different webinars for freshers, different online talent show is going on. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Aspiring Minds have ranked LPU as having Most Employable Students in consecutively twice in a row for previous academics sessions. ASSOCHAM (Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India) rated LPU as Best Private University with regards to placements. Zee News Survey rated us as 11th Best in India in Placements. Several Big Brands of the industry have visited LPU campus during academic session 2015-2016 for campus placements, students training/workshops, faculty development, etc. And the process is still going on at full pace. Around 150+ companies visit every year for campus-placement of students from LPU. And this year already more than 180 placement drives till Feb 2017 of leading industry giants have been conducted successfully (more than 90% being MNCs) for students passing out in 2017. For Instance, during Day-1 this year (batch 2016) Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) and Tech Mahindra extended 799 placement offers to engineering students of LPU in one go. In case of Biotechnology, 90% of the placement had been recorded with maximum package of Rs.6.0 Lacs.
